if you’re having a bad day and you’re in class with your head lying down on the desk, he would get you a carton of milk from the vending machine and put it on your desk. and he would add a sticky note that tells you “i’m proud of you. i’m here to listen to you if you ever need it.”

and he’ll sit in the seat next to you and gently rub the back of your head in a way fo comfort. and sometimes he’ll use his fingers to draw little designs on your back. basically it’s his way of showing comfort!

hes not very good with his words, not even his actions- he seems to function off of impulse, whims, so when he sees your head facing the desk on your arms, he thought about what he needed to do. you meant a lot to him, and he could tell you weren't having the best time right now, so he wanted to do what was best. what would that be?

he did what he thought was best! taking a quick trip to the vending machine before class started and arriving when the teacher came in; you could hear paper rustling around his bag before a click of a pen, the sounds of the stick bouncing on and off the desk before he peeled the sticky note off of the note pad, placing it on the milk carton he generously put on your desk. you didn't want to look up, not having the energy to do so. but you feel defeated when the light pressure of his soft fingertips make their way up and down your back, his forefinger and thumb making little circles and designs on your clothing, feeling a little ticklish on your bare back. you couldn't help but smile, turning your head towards him and mouthing a slow "thank you" before looking at the note he wrote for you.

“i’m proud of you. i’m here to listen to you if you ever need it.”

he wanted to do what was best for you, and it clearly worked when he saw your content eyes and your smile of bliss, the corners of his own lips turning upwards in response, a toothy grin bleeding through.

your day just got so much better.
