The most beautiful part of this sumptuous, lush, quivering, boozy, creamy, dreamy double bird pate and bramble berry gastrique on buttered and salted baguette is it means I am now at rest. I allow myself this level of French-ness right before Mardi Gras every year since immigrating to Australia. It's my opulent sigh before diving back in to a hopefully heavily scheduled work year. It's my bougie treat to kick off r&r. My personal Holiday Hedonism dictates luxe bites, strong cocktails before dusk, and finally catching up with incredible friends I've been really missing... I'll be pampering myself with body treatments, planning my Valentine's picnic menus, doing venue recon, and indulgently curating my parts of the next performance with @roamingtrees.
