This time I bring you part 2 of the seasonal bat series. Cirel too had her own personal motives to join the crew and give a helping hand to the owner of her favorite coffee shop. What a helpful gal! <3
I want people to be more interested in my OCs, but that’s never going to happen if I don’t draw them or share any information on them.
So I came up with an idea~
We shall call it Lore Sunday!
Every Sunday I’ll make a bunch of quick doodles of an OC of mine in particular and just throw a bunch of lore along side it. Maybe this format might inspire others to share their OC lore the same way. I’d be very proud of Lore Sunday turns into an actual thing X3c
It will definitely be more extensive here than Twitter’s counterpart, since there’s no character limit, but I’ll try not to get too crazy to not run out of fuel quickly XD
We’ll start with Cirel~
Cirel (she/her) is a debt collector from a loan company. Her explosive behavior and prone to violence makes her perfect to persuade even the most evasive clients.
Also known as the Summer Bat, she's hot headed and won't think twice before throwing hands if provoked. Not like it takes much to provoke her anyways...
She loves dressing with her favorite leather jacket, but will also be seen without it. Too many clothes make her feel wonky so she’ll favor sport outfits with high freedom of movement.
She's in a closed relationship with her coworker Elan (they/them) and she will quickly become aggressively overprotective if anything slightly bothers them.
“No one bullies this twink, but me!”
She might act cold and even rude towards them in public, but in private she turns into a cuddly puppy. They're the only one capable of calming her down when infuriated but she’ll never admit to it.
No one knows for sure how she managed to convince Elan to date her, some will even say they are too scared to break up with her. But at least everyone is glad someone is able to talk some sense into her.
Cirel IS meant to be the unlikable bully that everyone loves to hate, but perhaps the power of love will allow her to break the mold.
A Review of Drawing Doodles in Bed Together at 4 A.M. While Watching VHS on a Tube TV Because We Already Had Sex Like Three Times Today by Summer Bat and Tony Arnold
Tony Arnold and Summer Bat are engaged. I learned this on Facebook. I see Summer Bat's posts about him, and they are so sweet. I really believe that they are in love. I don't know anything about Tony, but I follow Summer on Instagram and we're Facebook friends, and she seems kinda sorta perfect. Like, she has really neat hair and pretty clothes and says really smart things. I would like to be IRL friends with her.
Each page has different doodles and writing from the two artists/writers. A common theme is watching VHS tapes together. I really like this. Here are my top favorite images:
I love the way the creature tells the sun to be nice. The sun can be so harsh! Like, come on, sun. You already get to heat the planet. Don't be a dick about it.
I liked this one because I used to do ballet, and I loved it, but wasn't great at it. This resonates strongly with me. Ballet is beautiful and tough.
This one is incredibly sweet and loving. I think the arcade token "i want you to have this" bit is maybe even sweeter than the actual declaration of love. It's the small gestures that matter most.
This was a very delicate and lovely ebook. It reminded me of the night in a Best Western in the Grand Canyon when my boyfriend and I wrote each other notes on a hotel notepad. I think this is something couples do, and it's intimate and adorable, and we should feel lucky that this couple agreed to share it with us.
