Introducing: Summer Gradient! This fella is super chill, and they don’t seem to anger often. (Just the rough draft for now)

Summer goes by he/him/they/them, and prefers to have their body resemble one of a slightly more masculine appearance.

Since I personally hc that Unpleasant can shift from Gradient to humanoid gradient, I took that hc and went a little further with it.

Summer is a semi-solid humanoid that can shift their physical appearance at will. For some reason, (haven’t figured out completely yet) Summer constantly has a strange purple goop seemingly dripping from their mouth. (Will explain more in next post)

More lore time. Covering: the goop goop 🟪

Okay, so I had an idea. I need to make my character a little more interesting. I had this idea when I was struggling to make the other hand on the initial rough draft. So, I frustratedly gave up and said, ‘this fool won’t have a second hand.’ I thought about it for a moment, and it made sense to me. So I decided to keep it that way. I thought about it for a moment, and I realized that I can make something interesting out of a frustration. I gave the missing hand a purpose.

The purple goop: technically still a part of Summer’s body, as it is the inner substance of their body. Since Summer is a semi-solid humanoid that can morph themselves to look however they want, (with limitations that I will cover later) I decided that Summer should be able to create their own hand. The goop is fully controllable by him, and he can create anything (within reason) that he wants to. He usually takes the goop from directly out of his mouth, as that is the easiest way to access it quickly.

(I also decided to make the goop constantly hang from their mouth as an extra detail)

Is there gonna be a character sheet of summer? If so, may I see it?

(Sorry, I really wanted to draw summer, but i don’t know if I would mess up the original creation.)

okay so, I am working on the character sheet (eventually).... but in the meantime, here are some details:

Summer can morph himself to look however he wants. The only key details that are necessary to keep are: The missing left hand (you can add a hand as long as it is purple)

Summer can't change his colors. His colors will always stay his gradient. Always, no matter the form, he will have a yellow head to shoulders, a light blue shoulder to around the hip area, a darker blue from the hip area to his knee area, and everything lower has to be his green.

His eye. He permanently has a tearful looking eye. (He also doesn't have another eye since his hair covers where it would be anyways)

Knowing all of this, i don’t believe it’s possible to mess up Summer!

how does summer interact with everyone/what is his views on the npcs?

okay...its nothing unique, but I'd like to go ahead and say that Summer is friends with Unpleasant. How they met? ....you'll have to ask about that.

Summer is a pretty chill guy with a very high tolerance to annoyance. He doesn't get angry very often, but when he does, it's for a good reason. He can't stand bullies and takes it personal when others insult Unpleasant.

I don't think that Summer would dislike anyone in particular. Even so, he doesn't enjoy talking to Pest. Talking to Pest is hard for Summer since Pest is just rude most of the time. He enjoys talking to Infected about games. Other than those specific npcs, Summer hasn't spoken to anyone else/doesn't have an opinion on them yet.

Okay, so I think I should start with the origins for Summer. I wanted to create a gradient oc, but I couldn't figure out what the colors would be. Then, I started to color pick some of my favorite colors. All of a sudden, it hit me. My favorite colors reminded me of how a child would depict summer as a drawing...I giggled to myself and decided to roll with it. Here's a visual representation of what i mean using Summer's colors:
