Inline figure skating...
For those breezy summer nights
Summer Goals
It's always a great motivator to set goals for yourself for the summer. During the summer there's no school going on, and it's a great opportunity to add some extra time to your skating.
Some examples of goals you can set include:
To improve flexibility
To improve strength, endurance, and stamina
To land a particular jump or refine a particular spin
To pass a test you've been working on for awhile
To try a new program
To reach a certain overall score at a competition this summer (for those skating with the ISJ scoring system)
Each skater's goals will be unique, and may be very different from another skater's. It helps to give you something to work towards, and at the end of the summer you can see how far you've come and how much you've achieved.
My goals for the summer are:
To pass Intermediate Moves in the Field
To learn as much as I can while working at a figure skating camp
To have at least one student pass a level by the end of the summer
To take advantage of as many opportunities as possible to learn about good coaching techniques
What are your summer skating goals?
