Closed starter for Summer Sebella ( @summersabella ) Location: The Movie House

Since moving to Aurora Bay Elliot had gotten used to doing things by himself. He hadn't realized how much he relied on the people in his life back in Texas for entertainment. He was always doing something with his ex and their mutual friends and ever since he left he no longer had that circle. There were a few people he still kept in contact via text mostly but they weren't around to pal around.

That was how Elliot found himself at the movie theater that night by himself. He'd made a few friends so far but there was no one he could count on to hang out on such short notice so he went alone. Elliot went into the theater blind. He didn't know what was playing right now and he went with the movie that was playing soonest which just so happened to be Maxxxine. He hadn't seen the other two films in the franchise but he got the gist enough that he'd be fine. With his ticket in hand he headed for the concessions fortunately no one was in line. "Hey, can I get a large popcorn and a medium Coke and, uhhhh," Elliot paused for a moment to look at the candy. "And I'll take a Buncha Crunch, please," he ordered.

Elliot was not having a very good day. He’d been an idiot and had checked Facebook earlier and a memory popped up from three years ago reminding him that today was the day he’d proposed to his ex. It stung seeing pictures of himself at a time where he’d been genuinely so happy and so confident in his relationship. He still didn’t understand where things went wrong or why she’d fallen out of love with him like she had. There were so many questions he’d never get answers to in regard to his past relationship and he’d stopped trying to seek them out. Last he heard she was still with the man she cheated on him with and was seemingly starting a whole new life as if what they’d had for nearly a decade and a half meant nothing.

In an attempt to forget his ex again after seeing those pictures Elliot decided he’d try to cheer himself up with a night out. Maybe the company of some strangers would distract him from his thoughts and if not he could just wallow into a couple of beers and call it a night. He’d quickly become a regular at The Reef and was instantly greeted warmly when he entered. He had a good reputation with all the bartenders at this point and they were used to his generous tipping practices.

Instead of just getting a beer like usual Elliot had ordered a shot and then another and then soon enough one of the regulars in the bar was chatting him up and before he knew it Elliot found himself caught up and buying an entire round for the bar. It was slow tonight and buying an extra 10 to 20 drinks was nothing on his tab. Still despite his generosity he hadn’t made any lasting friends tonight and as people settled with their free drinks Elliot found himself alone at the bar fiddling with the bowl of peanuts he was eating.
