Chiara had forgotten how beautiful Christmas time was here in Baberton. The markets. The lights. London had been beautiful as well, but it didn’t have the charm that her old hometown had around this time. Honestly she never thought she would be back, yet here she was. At least she got to enjoy her favorite time of year here as her first celebration of returning. Walking through the market she glanced at all the little trinkets and ornaments for sale. She kept her eyes peeled for anyone she may recognize but it had been some time. Most everyone she probably knew was long gone or didn’t remember her. Still she looked around, deciding to stop and admire some of the ornaments when out of the corner of her eye she spotted something. Or someone. She turned, looking around as she tried to figure out who or what she had just seen.
“Do you need me to come get you. I can be there in 10 minutes.” Bethany said running her fingers through her hair sounding frazzled. “Lay down and just focus on your breathing.” she hung up as she sighed. She’d blown off the last four appointments with her fertility doctor but it wasn’t like she could drop being a mom and she doubted Maggie could get to her phone. She just quickly shot a text to her wife about their kid being sick at school. She was rushing out of the doctor’s office trying to keep people from getting any look at her. She wasn’t popular anymore but she still lived in this town her whole life and she didn’t need word getting back to her wife. Not until she had more information.
Brooklyn was sitting staring at her laptop screen but she wasn't focused on it or even doing anything. She was stressed out because of her parents and this whole therapy thing her mum had brought up to her that morning. She sighed, blinking out of her thoughts just in time to miss whatever the person had said to her. "Huh? Sorry, what?"
“Welcome to Danny’s, sit anywhere you want.” Before Allie, he had a better greeting and seemed more happy. But since then, not so much but he held it together for his family and Chloe. “Now what can I get you? And if this is about my daughter, you can piss off.”
“No no. Fuck.” Persephone mumbled looking at their phone “No no hush honey you’re fine.” they said going to grab their laptop as Kari started to become fussy. They hadn’t expected to stay in the cafe long but they had just needed out of the house for a moment while they studied. Now though they needed to find a babysitter last minute and they didn’t know who they could even talk to. “It’s okay Kari. I’m here.” they whispered trying to sooth the baby before they bothered everyone around them.

With Amelia’s birthday right around the corner, Will was in his normal pitfal of depression. No matter how long it had been since her passing he still felt hollow and empty around this time, plagued by memories of what used to be happy times. After smelling the bakery and their fresh goods and recalling the last time he had brought her here for her birthday cupcake he found a quiet alley and rested his head on the wall. Today was just not a good day.

“Beautiful isn’t it?” Selena moved up beside someone in the aquarium where she worked. She was on break but she liked to sometimes look into the tanks when she was. This particular one was colavourites coral and fish everywhere. One of her favourites.
