Lauren grinned at the mention of the roof and she nodded, glancing over her shoulder out of the room window before she stood. “I don’t see why not!”

The moment that he heard those words, he could feel his insides start to twist up. He wouldn’t blame her for wanting to talk to him because well he had been gone and work had basically consumed his life at the moment. “Of course, what’s going on? Should we go back to my place?”
Hope’s stomach was in knots, she felt guilty. About this and about Daniel, just everything... she knew she had done wrong but this felt wrong too, it wasn’t like she was heartless. “Uh, yeah.” She said, working up a smile as she had a sip of the drink. “Your place is fine...” She decided to save the conversation for there.

Jayden had been working since Brooke had been brought in, he honestly didn’t have that much time off lately. So when he was able to manage a day, he had been planning to spend it with Hope. Which is why he had two coffees as he exited the Coffee Bean. Seeing her though when she came up to him, Jayden couldn’t help but smile. “Hey..” Leaning over, he kissed her cheek lightly. “For you, your favorite. Also a way for me to apologize for not being around that much.”
Hope bit her lip as she took the coffee from him, feeling her heart practically drop at the nice gesture and the kiss on the cheek. This was awful... because it wasn’t like she didn’t care for him at all, of course she did! “Thanks...” She breathed. “Um, I... wanted to, uh, talk actually...”

“I want out of here, Lauren.” Brooke looked up from her journal, she hated hospitals. But they wanted to make sure she was actually okay before sending her home. Yeah, she still had holes in her memory but she was over hospitals.
Lauren glanced over and gave her a look. “Yeah, I know.” She sighed. “But the doctors say just a little longer...”

She hadn’t been sleeping properly and she was stressed, to put it mildly. Hope sighed as she dragged herself through the streets, feeling a bit apprehensive as she made her way to Jayden’s place. She couldn’t remember if he’d been working or not but she figured she’d try there first. However, she spotted him as she moved to cross the road, coming out of a coffee shop and she veered off to go and meet him. “Uh, hey...”
(hope) Break up with Jayden. -A
Hope took a shaky breath as she frowned at the message from -A. Fuck. She had said anything but she hadn't really thought it through when she'd said it. She threw her phone across the room in frustration, watching it bounce off the couch. Luckily her dad had just left. Hope stayed where she was for a moment before she stood and trailed over to the phone, the fight having quickly gone out of her, sent off a reply and then quickly grabbed her keys to go and find Jayden....
'Fine.'

“No idea, she has been with Brooklyn a lot but she might be at work. Why? You don’t want to just hang out?” He questioned, raising a brow slightly. Taking a drag of his own cigarette.
Jayce shrugged and shook his head. “Nah, nah, just makin’ conversation.” He chuckled. “What about you then?” Change of subject would be wise, he decided. “What you been getting up to, I feel like it’s been ages.” The town was going to shit but he had his own problems to deal with.

A frown as she scanned the message, quickly wiping her eyes.

Hope was quick to reply, barely even thinking about it.

“Drive safely please.” This wasn’t something that Jackie could just keep hidden from Lauren. The hospital was bond to call her especially since Brooke was alive and well. “I’ll call Imogen and Daniel and Graham unless you want to while on the way.” Jackie hated this because she knew what it meant. But she also knew that she wasn’t just going to walk away from Lauren. The brunette couldn’t do that not after everything they had been through and then finally getting together. Yes, Brooke was her wife but clearly Lauren had feelings for her right?
“I’ll do it.” Lauren hung up and rushed to find her keys, frowning deeply as she moved. What was going on? Her mind kept flashing back to the night she and Trevor had gone to the cemetery and realised Brooke wasn’t actually there... she was sure Eric thought she was insane when she’d showed up at his and Imogen’s place ranting about it but... she could barely think straight right now and she focused on getting her car started, not bothering to look at the missed texts on her phone right now, and drove to the hospital. She called everyone on the way, knowing she shouldn’t be using her phone but whatever, just a quick ‘get to the hospital’ message, and then she parked haphazardly and rushed inside.

“I think we both did..” And Amelia rarely if anything did not drink like that. It seemed like her own headache was going to last for her days and the redhead hated that. Hell she hated the fact that Brooklyn had the same headache probably. Maybe they shouldn’t have drank so much last night.
“We should look for receipts or something from the bar or from where ever that was. Or our credit card statements.” Oh god, if she used her mother’s card for this, Amelia was going to be in so much trouble. “So this means that we are…married..” Not that it wasn’t a bad thing or anything like that. It was more shocking if anything.
Brooklyn was reeling from this whole thing and right now she was intensely focused on Amelia’s phone and the pictures she’d found on it. Brooklyn frowned, raking her fingers up through her hair. “Um... okay... uh...” She was lost for words as she tried to catch her mind up to what was happening but she felt like she was working in slow motion or something. “Uhh... fuck, I don’t know.” She moved to her handbag, rummaging around in it to see if she could find any clues, picking out her phone in the process and making a face at all the missed calls and texts. “I think my mum is gonna go insane...” She looked up at her, clearing her throat. “I, uh... I guess it does....”

Setting: The Hospital
Day: New Years Eve
Jackie had only been on call and actually on her way over to Lauren’s when she got the call. The two of them had been seeing each other for a couple of months now. And things seemed to be okay, she knew it was hard for Lauren because of Brooke. But now the blonde was here, and getting worked on in surgery. Which was why she was on the phone now, listening to the ringing. This was going to be a tough one. Once she heard her answer, she smiled a little bit but that faded. “Lauren, hey. No I’m not on my way, I actually got called back to the hospital. It’s about Brooke..You need to come now.”
Lauren didn’t really know what was happening with Jackie. She was still obsessed with Brooke’s death and full of grief but she was lonely. She was one glass of wine in when the phone went. She thought about ignoring it but she reached out and noticed it was Jackie. “Hey.” She answered, swirling the wine in the glass and watching it move around. “I hope you’re not driving.” But then Jackie said she wasn’t on the way and was at the hospital. She frowned, worried as she wondered what happened, but then she said Brooke and she froze, her whole body just went into shock. Lauren was silent for a long moment before she stood. “I--I’m on my way.”

Amelia had no doubt in her mind that her mother was going to kill her as well. Both of them, she had never done anything like this before especially after telling them that she would be home. Wyatt was the one that always stayed out late and did things he shouldn’t. “Same.” And her head was pounding but they had more pressing issues apparently.
After moving off the bed to get dressed herself. Clearly they had done something by the rings on both of their fingers. “Shit is right..” This was something that Amelia would never do which sent her into start pacing a little bit. “I don’t think so, this doesn’t feel like a joke.” Heading over to her jacket, she started looking through her pockets for anything, finding her phone she seen a lot of missed calls from both of her mothers and brother. Opening it, she went to the photos and found a lot of them. “Fuck..I don’t think it’s a joke, Brooklyn..” Moving over to her, she handed the blonde her phone.
Brooklyn didn’t know what the hell to think because she could barely remember anything. “God, I must have had a whole bar full of alcohol..” she muttered, rubbing her temples. She wondered how long this headache would last.
She looked down at her hand again, going quiet with a soft frown. This was... absurd, right? Brooklyn wasn’t sure what to say or do or think right now. She looked up when she heard Amelia again, frowning. “What do you...” She looked at the phone and her face filled with panic. “Oh my fucking god...”

Setting: Hotel Somewhere outside of Baberton
Day: After New Years Eve
All the young redhead remembered was drinking a lot with the blonde and next thing she knew they were waking up like this. But something felt different on her hand. “Argh..I am never drinking like that again.” She muttered, moving her head a little bit to look at Brooklyn. Making a decision. she rolled over towards her before leaning over to kiss her softly. “How is your head?” The redhead questioned, finally pulling away from the kiss. Just as she lifted her hand to stroke her cheek softly that was when she noticed it. The ring. What the actual fuck was that?! “Brooklyn..” She trailed off, showing her hand to the blonde.
What the hell happened last night? Did they get married? No..that wasn’t possible right? This was some type of a joke or something right? But in all honesty it felt extremely real. That was when she sat up a little bit, holding the sheet to chest. “I think we need to figure out what the hell happened last night..”
Brooklyn was pretty sure that her mum was going to kill her... probably her dad too at this rate. She had been very clear that she wasn’t going to stay out the whole night but this definitely wasn’t her bedroom. “Sore.” She murmured in reply, turning to see Amelia. She sighed, lifting a hand to her throbbing temple.
At the tone that she heard in her friend’s voice next, she turned to look at her. “What is--” She trailed off, eyeing the ring on the redhead’s hand. She frowned slightly, glancing down at her own and jumping up off the bed. “Oh shit!” She hesitated. “Did... did we make up some... joke last night...?” She frowned, staring at Brooklyn, tugging at the hem of her shirt as she sat back down. “I don’t know if I remember much to be honest...”

“Ready?” DJ questioned, looking over at the blonde. “The front is locked up.” He told her, honestly he didn’t mind waiting for her at all. Truthfully he did have feelings for her. “I don’t think my parents are going to be home tonight both of them have been working late lately. So if you want me to stay with you tonight, I can.”
Alison smiled as she looked up at him, nodding. “Yep, all good to go.” She chuckled, grabbing her bag and swinging it up onto her shoulder. “Oh, really?” Ali thought about it for a moment and nodded. “Yeah. Yeah, that sounds good. Should we order pizza or something?” She asked, grabbing the keys off the side and putting them in her bag. Truthfully, she wished she had the guts to ask if DJ wanted this to be... more. Because she did, but she was scared and didn’t want to lose him altogether, so she kept her mouth shut. “Let’s go.”
