I love your icon and what it's about too~ On the other hand I'm still sad for what otherwise could've been a much more vibrant fandom. There's no artillery shot between the two camps, but it can't but feel as if simply knowing that a fandom figure is pro/anti-Ragnarok is enough of a deterrent and the subheading to their names. Yet it's not even an active repellent in the sense that "I can't be friends with you." it's more like "They probably wouldn't want to be friends with me." and I'm〳•́﹏•̀〵

so to clarify: I would 100% be friends with ppl who don’t like ragnarok?? Like, even right now, I talk every so often to people (esp in PM) about their dislike of the movie. I’m definitely not trying to say that anyone who dislikes ragnarok should steer clear of me or that I don’t tolerate them :/ it’s more that the culture of hating ragnarok has become so full of self-righteousness, gate-keeping behavior, and black-and-white thinking that I don’t want any part of the movement as a whole.

so basically what i mean is this: when anti-ragnarok ppl see my icon, it’s up to them whether they want to steer clear of me or not. if they’re the type of person who is willing to step outside of themselves and acknowledge that movie opinions are subjective (including ones with or without rigid academic analysis >.>), then they are so so so welcome in my life!! (though i may unfollow if they don’t tag their ragnarok criticism - because i have days where i’m overly sensitive to even seeing it. however, even in this case, no harm no foul, i will happily remain friends with these ppl. which actually has happened, lol, i’m not even lying)
however, if they’re the kind of person who would be so driven in their holier-than-thou mindset that they cannot tolerate even the sight of my icon without wanting to block or viciously debate me without invitation, thennn they’re not the kind of person i want to associate with lol... and i will be happy for them to block me and be on their ragnarok-hating way lol. (which is where my icon comes in handy because we can be rid of the “accidentally following without realizing this bitch (aka me) is super pro ragnarok and then getting mad at her and blocking her” and just jump right into the blocking part lol.)
I think that ^^^ is basically what you’re talking about? Like, most ppl tend to have the “if u like ragnarok, then we can’t be friends” or “if u hate ragnarok, we can’t be friends” mindset, and that can be intimidating and upsetting. and i feel for you
but honestly maybe sometimes i fail, but i genuinely try not to be like that :/ if u recognize that we are both humans in this big, sad world, then we are probably going to get along <3

to start, volkswagen beetle, the old classic model, not these new ones they’ve got, what are those? no thanks. i admit this one is fueled entirely by nostalgia as it was my parents’ car when i was little, and i always figured it would be my first car too, even tho it’s not exactly efficient by today’s standards. whatever, i still love them.
next, to keep with the classic vw theme, a combi van. the hippy ‘60 model, obviously. why they’d have to go and change it? it was already perfect!
to move a little forward in time, a 70s mercedes, like, any mercedes from that decade is a thing of beauty to me, but the model i’m thinking of is the 450 SEL 6.9, again, a nostalgic thing for me, my uncle had one when i was little and OH BOY is it a pretty car. it lasted him pretty long too! he had it until last year when it... caught fire... while parked... hm. still a 5/5 star review from me!

well, realistically speaking the big trip that could happen for me in the forseeable future is Mexico, i have family there to meet visit, but the thing is, they are close by the DF and, no shade, that is the last part of Mexico i want to visit. I want to see Yucatán and Chihuahua and the west coast... my dad went backpacking down the coast in his twenties i could.. i could do that too. maybe.

currently playing: darkest dungeon and hollow knight. Theyre both indies with great atmosphere, great music and great art, that’s about where the similarities end- no wait, theres other thing they have in common: i am NOWHERE near beating either, they are crazy hard.
impactful narrative: the big one is probably the mass effect trilogy, and a little less assassins creed and prince of persia.
just plain ol’ fun: diablo 2. get a psychologist here to tell me it’s because it’s addictive and the loot or whatever i don’t care. minecraft maybe goes in here too, i don’t exactly have fun-fun when i play but it’s sort of relaxing in a way that doesn’t make me feel like i’m wasting time. oh! and magicka 2 DEFINITELY deserves a spot here despite being one of the most boring games to play solo on account that hooking the pcs of my 5 roomates to the local network on my first year of college and going at it all together was maybe the most fun i’ve had in my adult life, it was like a game of d&d on fast forward, except we’re all wizards, we’re all on a sugar high AND drunk, friendly fire is Very Much ON, and one of us is wielding a machine gun that’s on fire.
