Story time || MARY LUZ || Story time. Back in Grade 6, I couldn’t forget this classmate who said that my momma was crazy coming up with this name - mother MARY LUZcifer. Taba ng utak! Instead of getting mad, I was really laughing out loud outside the room where their group was tasked to clean that day. I was right not to get mad to that person who might be reading this post, if ever s/he (not gonna give you more hints. Haha) follows me. S/he was one of those who gave their belated birthday greetings, so i guess we’re good. 😉 Here are my takeaways from that SHE (significant human experience): 1. Not everyone gets the same version of you. It’s not everyday that you feel okay and smile when you meet people. There are days when you feel light and make other’s life bright by being the more sociable you. Sometimes you’re just too busy to give a damn and that’s fine. Some days are good, some are bad. People who are not threatened by your presence will describe you in a good light and understand where you’re coming from, especially during your heat of the moment. 2. You need not fake it. Having an image that’s so far from your real identity is kinda high maintenance. You just gotta be you ‘cause at the end of the day, people will always have something good or bad to say depending on what they experience in your presence. People throw stones at things that shine. But if you know yourself well enough, they can’t bring you down that easily. They can throw shades but you know your true colors. So just stay true, stay tough. 3. Don’t struggle defending yourself against haters. Don’t insist that you are like this or that, if ever the same thing happens to you. Respect their views/impressions of you. You may get offended by their make-up stories and that’s normal, but never ever ever be the ghost they are afraid of themselves. People who dislike you or your presence will always reveal you as the beast even if you’re doing your best to treat them accordingly. So DON’T waste your time. The Universe only gives us what we are strong enough to handle. Apparently, it thinks I’m a badass woman! I was out for a week for some reboot, the natural kinda way. I swam with the sardines, waved with the whales, and twirled with the turtles. And i could say i enjoyed every bit of it. But tel you what, you can’t enjoy nature’s best if you carry emotional baggages with you. You will drown with your darkest thoughts no matter how hard you try to rise above to see the light. So surrender everything to the most high and know His plans are always better, even his delays are worth it. Peter Pan was right when he told us to think only of the happiest things because it’s the same as having wings. In this world, we are destined to meet certain people and we can’t control what happens to us in their presence, even if more often than not we wish we could. What we can do is to seize the day and cherish every moment of it. Whether we succeed or fail, whether we get hurt or loved, always be the person who chooses to see the light so that you will go to place, that which are best and right. I celebrate people who have helped me grow and even those who don’t but continue to make me have this mind set - TAMED BUT TOUGH. So, thank you, whether you are a fiend or a friend of mine. There’s more to life than living with hatred, grudges, and lies. We only live once here on earth, but we die many times in different ways we could ever imagine. So make sure, every grief teaches you a lesson for you to become better. Downfalls won’t make you less than a person. Take them as a leverage to rise up higher and come back stronger - the sweetest revenge ever. So that when you go to heaven and look back on those years, you could say to your self that you really LIVED. You got this. || CAUTION: Toxic || Here’s your daily dose of #MHEYReflections! ♡ It’s sad to note that most people who are toxic do not know that they are…TOXIC! Worse is they are fond of projecting such image to others instead of self-reflecting to assess themselves if they really are not. And when they lose bullets for arguments, they shot you right to your face telling you that you are toxic as they play victim, as if you are the one who pulled the trigger for them to be rude. And the rad side of you will leave you questioning why after all the good things you did for them, you still get the blame. Were you really the one who was bad and made them sad? Tell you what, you are not helping them to become a better person if you reason for them, if you keep on understanding and tolerating them. Neglecting that along with the other red flags would cost you much in the end, even your own happy and peaceful life. It is not worth your energy, your attention, your patience. Besides, if they really value your existence in their lives, they would try to do away from all those stuff that might hurt you. As for those people who co-exist with me and choose to be RUDE, I have not worked as hard as i could to build the life that i have for myself for you to just come in and disrespect it. I cannot be RAD all the time. So if you cannot meet me where i have found myself fine, then you are free to pass by. No one loves your presence because your toxicity is nothing but annoying.
