"If I fits, I sits"--Bastet
Does anyone want to tell her that generally means sit IN the box and not ON it?
She knows this though. Bastet is one of the smartest friends at the Sanctuary. She can read and understand several languages, she is wicked good at math (but don't ask her to do your taxes), and she writes Haiku in her spare time.
She caught a draft from the door immediately after this and went off to go find a warm spot to curl up and take a nap.
(Bastet is a Summit Collection Bastet adopted from eBay)
@build-a-buddy 's Plushblr 2021 Kickoff Day 1
Show and tell! Show us your newest, favorite, and most unique plush.
Newest: Technically my newest plush is Dex-Starr, which I ordered off eBay, but he isn't here yet, so my second newest is: ICEE mascot! This guy's really tiny and I got him from a flea market. He's made by Hugfun International.
Favorite: Nuby! I love him so much that he's the blog's mascot! He's made by Summit Collection. (Highly recommended if you like Ancient Egyptian stuff. He's very cool and Summit Collection also has a smaller sitting jackal, two sitting cats of differing sizes, and a scarab beetle.)
Most Unique: This one took a while to decide on, because I own so many unique plushes. I'm drawn to unique ones really. But the most unique in my collection is the only one I own who represents an original character made by a small business: Watermurtle! She's made by Asherbee on Etsy. (Highly recommended btw! She's very huggable, looks great in any collection, and even has a zipper pocket in her shell!)
It's snowing, Ruby and Neema love it!
Finally added the scarab plushie to my collection today! :D Picked it up at the Ren Fair (at which I wore the same plague doctor outfit I did last year)~ *also bonus glimpse of leggings I’ve had for years lol oops

//I actually found this blog via a tag I was following, and Saw that not only you, but someone else had shared their Anubis plush! So i felt encouraged to share not only my Anubis plush, but also a Bastet one I had gotten after!
Me: Nice! The Bastet one is super cute too. I’ve thought about getting the Bastet one too, but never got around to it. I’m sure there’s still some on the market though, but I can’t spare the cash for one right now.
It’d be cool if Summit Collection made more Egyptian animal deity plushes, like a Sobek crocodile, Horus falcon, Thoth ibis, or Sekhmet lioness. Maybe even a little Ammit to go with the Anubis one?

Bastet - Summit Collection
So if you follow my blog you’ve probably seen at least one picture of my only Summit Collection plush, Nuby the jackal, which is a plush of Anubis in the form of a full jackal. He’s even in my icon!
I’ve always wanted to get the Bastet plush too to complete the set, but never really got around to it. I think this one’s still available on the actual site, but I might be able to find a slightly better deal secondhand.
