Two weeks out. Only 14 days til I will be prepping the gear, going to sleep early and waking at 2 am to head to the mountain for my 12 endurance event the Summit Push. Which is the precursor to 29029. Training hard, everyday, and one rest day a week. Preparing mind, body, soul and just being present in the moment on the mountain will do so much for all of us that will partake in the event. This will break down layers, break down barriers, it will allow people to leave as a changed human being. Sometimes we are forced to change. Sometimes we seek change. Sometimes when we relinquish ourselves to the challenges around us we find we find the change we need. I know I will be changed by the mountain and I open my mind to this challenge. My training consists of runs, followed by hikes. Weight training followed by runs and hikes. Wim Hof breath work. Meditation. My pace has increased in my fast runs and maintaining a steady pace at a 15-20% incline. First steps on the mountain will include a vertical wall being attempted at 4:30 am, with headlamp and gear on.
