Familiars

So I’ve been doing tons and tons of research about familiars as I have come to find one of my own. Now my familiar is a very... unconventional animal. My familiar is a Cerberus. Yes that’s right. A Cerberus. Now I’m just as surprised as you are. I’d like to know, anyone else have unconventional familiars? How do you work with your familiar? Is your familiar a spirit (like mine) or a real life creature?

Summoning my familiar spell has officially been added to my Book of Shadows! It is sort of a long spell so the pages fold out like an accordion to accommodate all the instructions and notes. Accordion pages allow me to expand my ideas!

Summoning my familiar

I feel it is finally time to summon my familiar. I’m using attraction magic along with some other eclectic elements to bring a hairless cat into my home for the  purpose of sharing my life as a magical companion. I prefer to use a proactive approach to bring things into my life, and I’ve given this spell until Samhain to manifest. I have had surprising success with attraction magic in the past. Since performing this spell, I’ve actually had some results via dream magic that tell me my spell is working! I used a spell I found online and made some intuitive changes to better suit my needs, most notably that I’m attempting to attract a physical cat rather than a spirit cat. Since this spell is kind of a big one, I performed it over the Litha/Strawberry full moon time in order to channel the natural power of the time into the actual spell. I’ve also used a bit of sigil magic (something I’m new at) and so far I am very happy with my results. I guess I have an adventurous streak because I’m usually willing to do a bit of magic experimentation in my spell craft. Blessed Be, ya’ll!
