September 2019 Album of the Month: Summoner’s Circle “Become None”
Creating new fresh Black Metal recordings can be hellish when the genre keeps flooding with faux Black Metal musicians trying to be the evilest of all for the sake of being evil. While most are just straight up ripping off the great Black Metal bands of the late 1980's and early 1990's with no clear originality, pure staleness, lacking what truly defines what it means to be real authentic musicians whom pour out meaningful riffs and capturing the souls of heavy metal fans worldwide. And that's where Summoner's Circle latest record "Become None" (Pavement Music) shines bright like a full Moon gleaming upon a zombie filled Graveyard about to feast on the innocent! It's absolutely original in terms of lyrical content brimming with harsh mythological terror that is guaranteed to have first time listeners cowering in fear, but then the same listeners end up becoming the biggest die hard fans of Summoning Circle's eerie creative content as they mosh n roll in their very own city streets during the midnight hour, sporting corpse paint upon their faces!
What's also super deliciously metallic inside "Become None" is the fact that Summoner's Circle are absolute masters of their own craft when it comes to creating long musically pleasurable progressive songs that are superbly capable of taking any type of metal head through one hell of a theatrical Black Metal spiritual journey that contains gothic symphony keyboard tones, epic drum solos, blazing Black Sabbath influenced guitar solos that are capable of ripping the flesh right off your body, while also being able to flawlessly capture a wide arrange of exhilarating Death Metal screams that could very well cause Chuck Schuldiner (RIP) of Death to rise from his grave and rock the fuck out! Who would've thought the future of Black Metal would be 6 extremely talented musicians haling from Knoxville, Tennessee; of all places?! Mind blowing! But so beautifully metal! Upon releasing "Become None" Summoner's Circle have proven to the metal masses they're taking over the metal genre for good! Nuff said!
Major Highlights: "Minotaur", "Worm Tunnel" "Become None" "Balrog General", & "Temple of Suffering"
