Special care of some crystals

Before we start, i gotta say two things. 1, im not a crystal expert, IM WAY FAR of a crystal expert, i don’t even know how to recognize crystals, but this is why i have my blog, to learn. 2, sorry for posting just sigils this last days, school... catholic school to specify.

Crystals that can’t touch water

First of all, how do we know this? Well, something called Mohs hardness scale. It basically rates from 1-10 which crystal is harder and depending of this, the ones that are more soft get more damaged in water.

A really large rainbow from a sun crystal, cast across a stand with necklaces, made the most interesting shadow on the wall.

The winter rainbows from the crystals in the window are so intense, the camera phone opted to turn the white wall black when taking the picture. And it can’t quite see the violet.

Thoughts on Sun Crystals

OK, so I used the Sun Crystals today in my coffee smoothie and here are my thoughts:

It was sweet enough without being too sweet for things like whipped cream and coffee smoothies

It had a very subtle bitter after taste.  Not as bitter as straight stevia, but noticeable none the less.

It had a "glossy" kind of mouth feel to it.  Not so overly obnoxious that I can't use it occasionally but still odd.  I think I understand what @butimveggie means by stevia makes her mouth scream (I think that's how she put it)

My conclusion would be that the Sun Crystals will suffice for a healthier alternative to sugar and artificial sweeteners without being so amazingly delish that I could possibly overuse it and end up replicating my destructive eating habits.  Also, for those emergency "sweet fix" kind of times the Sun Crystals should do just fine.
