Chapter Seven: Jemma

AU. An Aphrodite/Hephaestus retelling set in modern London. Jemma Simmons is the adopted daughter of Alister Fitz. Known as the Aphrodite of Mayfair, Jemma is not quite resigned to her life, but she doesn’t know how to break free of her cage. Cast aside by his family after an accident left him scarred and limping, Dr. Leopold Fitz has reinvented himself as the ruthless head of a tech company making waves in the security sector. When the object of his secret obsessions falls into his grasp he will not be quick to let her go, but what starts as dark desire and a thirst for revenge becomes something else as he learns that Jemma is more than a pretty face. Will they find a way to be together, or will fate and greed tear them apart?
