Sunartistry
Sunagakure is filled with talented people who canonically like puppets and puppet shows. In addition, many of their shinobi, mainly Kankuro, show relation to traditional forms of theatre.
Thus, we think Suna is a art loving village that would absolutely have a festival celebrating the artisticand creative prowess of Sunagakure citizens! Puppet shows, crafts, live music and dancing are all showcased during this 3 day long festival.
Each day lasts from 5am to 12am. The streets are lined with stands supplying food, regional goods, souvenirs, or little craft areas for kids. Music by local artists is played live throughout the day, sometimes with bigger performances being put on at specific times. Midday through each day of the festival, a dance with elaborate costumes and coreography is performed along with the music.
In the evening, some shinobi compete in small contests of ninjutsu, but instead of displaying their power in a battle, they show their beauty through routines meant to wow the audience. Each day is wrapped up by a puppet show, play or performance where the puppets themselves as well as their puppeteers are the stars. On occasions the final performance may even feature a series of different shows in addition to the classic puppetry ones.
Sunartistry is a festival meant to display the beauty and creativity that plays a large role in Sunagakure's culture and thus is a perfect celebration for a village as proud as Suna.
