That is sound advice. I have spoken to several colleagues who volunteer at a local cat shelter, and we are at least in agreement on the fact that researching how these foxes should be cared for and educating those who wish to own them is a good first step.
I thank you for your time, Robin. Here is a picture of my cat as a token of gratitude:

There’s no need to thank me, Sunbird. It is my duty as Robin to protect all those I can, human or not, with everything in my disposal.
And I thank you for the picture of the cat, I own one too and they are reliable and beautiful creatures.

I was told that you are a fellow lover of animals? If this is true I hope that you will understand my displeasure upon seeing the rising trend of keeping of "marble foxes" as exotic pets in my city. Knowing full well that the people here have no intention of caring for them properly.
My Father and Aunt dismissed my vexed complaints by highlighting the pointlessness of such emotion. However, I do believe that mistreatment of animals of any kind should be met with due fury and outrage, no matter how powerless I may be to stop it.
What say you, Robin?
~Sunbird
I say that your emotions are in the right place. Taking in an animal comes with duties many are not prepared to face- or do not wish to face.
In your special case, I say that power comes in numbers. There’s very little chance that you’re the only one that feels this way, so I suggest taking matters into your own hands. Make petitions, see if others join your cause, protect the animals. Some people may be fit for taking care of these marble foxes, while others may not. It is important to remember this distinction.
Don’t let anyone tell you that you’re powerless. As long as you have your mind, nothing in you is ‘powerless’.
