i know when i got into bom years ago i had a TON of headcanons but did not write any of them down 😥and despite getting back into the show recently i actually haven't rewatched it yet

(when scrolling back in my camera roll, all i can find is a ship chart with the main four where i spread one-sided mcpricely propaganda, and there's two arrows between mckinley and cunningham that just say "autism" and "really gay for one hour". no clue what i was cooking) so my headcanons unfortunately aren't very cohesive atm! just very random bits and bobs that've popped into my head:

neeley loves liquorice

post-show/post-mission mckinley still doesn't drink coffee, hes just one of those guys that can (just barely) function fine on very little sleep. hes a tea guy. OR disgustingly milky sweet coffee every now and then

idk how to describe the way in which i dont particularly ship churchtarts, but i do think they end up together and get married. like its just fact. qpr mayhaps....

headcanoning any bom character as autistic feels like saying you headcanon mckinley as gay. i mean yeah mckinley never says the words "i am gay" but. youve seen the musical. they are ALL autistic/adhd. to me.

actually what i CAN headcanon is cunningham being diagnosed autistic at maybe like 8-ish and being completely aware of it, meanwhile price's parents being told at a very young age that kevins probably autistic but they just never told him

i havent heard much about it now-a-days but a few years back i remember a lot of people hc'ing ghali and nabulungi having a strong sibling bond so its latched onto my psyche and it will not be leaving ever

ive mentioned this under someone's post before but i vaguely hc neeley basically being the elder price before elder price showed up. if that makes sense. its why hes so salty.

mckinley, at some point in the future, for some indeterminate, non-permanent amount of time, grows a beard and it looks great on him.

kevin, despite being able to come off as charming and extroverted, is actually pretty shy and not the most conversational (with most people). he and mckinley or cunningham can be chatting away in the living room but if one of the other elders walk in he'll go very quiet and itll get a little awkward. cunningham knows how to integrate other people into the conversation, but mckinley will probably follow in kevin's footsteps and go quiet too, out of politeness. kevin has an easier time talking with the villagers, though, because they never put him on some sort of pedestal

not sure if thats much of a headcanon and more of just an interpretation oops

another possibly-just-an-interpretation but i hc mckinley and kevin as being pretty much the same height, its just that in the obc bootleg, mckinley seems (almost timidly?) hunched a little forward when they meet, so he looks a little shorter. in act 2 i think mckinley stands much taller and their height gets more even

but yeah thats it!! for now at least. if i put my mind to it i can come up with everyone's ice cream preferences. LOVE your writing, thanks for the ask!!!!!

mcpriceley headcanons and my life is urs

mckinely occasionally dabbled in disney when he was a little kid but gradually internally adopted a sort of "pssh disney thats for babies and also those BARELY even count as musicals" mindset. but i think during and post mission kevin slowly weans him back onto disney. when mckinley relents hes like "okay well whats their most recent movie we can watch that tonight" and of course its tangled and then they watch tangled and mckinley won't admit that he liked it because he actually has a love hate relationship with it cause it hits too close to home (cries about it a little #inmyopinion) because mother gothel. thats his mother. anyways post-mission frozen comes out and he gives in completely he is elsa's #1 fan. he likes frozen more than kevin likes all of disney combined i think

(oops i wrote almost exclusively in big big big paragraphs, so VVV)

kevin's a big performer obviously but he doesn't take it as seriously as mckinley so he has fun getting silly with it. that is to say that when mckinley's sick or maybe feeling down (post-mission in the new york apartment we know they have + late-mission when everyone's friends and just mostly messing around) kevin will go full arnold and put on a one man show version of some of mckinley's favourite musicals until he gets a giggle out of him. he's kind of bad at it, kevin is a cheesy actor and not the best singer but mckinley adores it so so much. kevin will also do this when they just have like naba and arnold and maybe church and thomas over too. mckinley is not actually a very good actor when its in a casual setting if that makes sense. on an actual stage and in a professional setting he's fantastic but he weirdly gets stage fright when its around his friends/the other elders. mckinley helps organise the inevitable christmas panto that they're definitely 100% doing and he's super duper into it obviously but when he inevitably gets roped into acting in it he's kind of stiff, at least to start with. hes like captain in the ghosts christmas special where they do the panto. he does much better in a big costume though! hashtag drag mckinley. this is more mckinley & kevin headcanon rather than mcpriceley headcanon hashtag oops

ive said this before probably but kevin loooooooves mckinley's voice. idk if mckinley IS (he probably is) but mckinley definitely could sing kevin to sleep. honestly mckinley could talk kevin to sleep #kevinreallylovesthatguy

the pro-mcpriceley elders are poptarts (mckinley's bff, very happy to see him happy), cunningham (price's bff, very happy to see him happy also big fan of shipping), michaels ("those bitches gay, good for them, good for them" attitude) and schrader (So invested in the drama, him and cunningham are engaging in real person shipping when it comes to mcpriceley #problematic), and the anti-mcpriceley elders are church (immediately clocks price's similarities to neeley so he's lowkey weary of him and highkey subconsciously very protective and fond of mckinley), davis (deep deep DEEP down incredibly petty and jealous that suddenly price is getting all of mckinley's attention), zelder (bad vibes from price that eventually fade away honestly he's just neutral or romance-repulsed in general), and neeley (Neeley)

price and mckinley sit at opposite ends of the dining table and during that period of time where they're together but no-one else knows they give each other sweet little smiles while everyone else is distracted. they would play footsie too but they genuinely can't because 1. that table is too big for them to reach each other and 2. there's TWENTY FEET DOWN THERE. the risk of accidentally playing footsie with another elder on accident is too high but also the thought of that is incredibly funny to me so maybe that would happen. maybe it has happened and so they've sworn off footsie at the dinner table forever.

not one of my core/main headcanons and also maybe not very canon-compliant i guess and also very unpopular from what i've seen but im very very very fond of arospec mckinley

demisexual kevin price IS a core headcanon for me though it might as well be fanon. to me
