A long time ago, when humans believed in the heavens and the heavens cared for humans, from a hot boiling rocky mountain 🌋 a monkey 🐒 was born. The Monkey 🐵 was very strong and had a bad temper. He caused chaos here and there. The heavens had no other choice but to make him a deity. The monkey who became a deity gave himself the name the Great Sage, Equal to Heaven. The heavens had placed a gigantic pillar of fire 🔥 in the mountain that Son Oh Gong was born and every day white smoke came out of the mountain frightening the humans. The scared humans prayed to the Monkey 🐒 deity to save them. The Monkey then stole a staff from the dragon sea 🌊 palace plugging the pillar of fire. This angered the heavens and the monkey was punished for his arrogance. The monkey was captured and locked up in Five Elements Mountain ⛰. Forgotten by the humans he saved his temple few into ruin. He was forgotten.
