idk ahahaha i always headcanoned them as friends since they were both in vocal adrenaline + carmel high. in my head sunshine stepped down from VA after s2 but stayed at carmel (maybe focusing on the academic decathlon team instead) and saw unique feeling the same kind of pressure they (nb they/them sunshine in my head? for now idk) were under, so they helped out w advice or smth. and graduated after that year but they gave unique one of their many bracelets before going off to uni, a my melody one since they had a hello kitty backpack so i concluded that sunshine is a sanrio fan. i also like the idea of them relating to each other’s gender troubles…and in the future they reconnect and start dating and the bracelets are now their couple bracelets ahahahhah
