she’s   soft   in   the   coming   sun   ,     melancholy   in   the   dawn   of   a   world   absent   of  her   father   .          tea   gone   cold   from   minutes   left   untouched   ,     fingers   gently   place   it   on   the   saucer   aside   ,     the   sound   of   porcelain   against   the   metal   of   the   table   too   loud   in   the   dim   beginnings   of   the   day   .          HER   CORONATION   IS   IN   A   WEEK   ,     made   evident   of   the   white   dusting   her   kingdom’s   cobbled   streets   ,     several   months   since   she   last   saw   snow   .

it   was   beautiful   then   ,     but   now   carries   with   it   a   sterile   feeling   .          if   she’s   honest   ,     snow   will   never   hold   that   same   magic   again   :     the   chill   in   her   bones   ,     the   ache   in   her   heart   ,     they   are   one   in   the   same   .          feet   curled   under   her   ,     she   brings   the   blanket   closer   around   her   shoulders   ,     not   willing   to   go   back   inside   that   EMPTY   CASTLE   and   face   her   people   just   yet   .          rapunzel   counts   herself   lucky   when   she   hears   the   french   doors   creak   open   ,     the   scent   of   her   mother’s   shower   soap   wafting   with   the   warmth   from   inside   .          AT   LEAST   SHE   STILL   HAS   ARIANNA   .

somethings   strikes   her   then   ,     a   burning   question   .          “   mama   ,     how   did   you   do   it   ?   ”          rapunzel   throws   her   head   back   ,     blonde   locks   caught   between   her   scalp   and   the   resting   of   her   back   against   the   upholstered   garden   settee   ,     locking   eyes   with   arianna   .          has   her   mother   always   looked   that   tired   ?          “   when   i   was   missing   .          did   you   think   i   was   dead   ?   ”

@sunlightswallowed i had to go in woth photoshop and change up the outer gown. buuut i took inspiration of her light green gown from the flashback in the tv series. the background made me think of what it may have looked like when she drank the sundrop flower.
