That was literally the opposite of what he just asked her to do....

"Oh, Starscream, love. Perfect timing. I could use a more royal optic than I on this."
He turns, awkward, trying not to scratch at temporary painted swirls and glued on diamonds. He's studded in all that, poor thing.
"Solomus insists on being sparkly for parties. But this feels-- like too much. I already glow. Isn't that Primic enough?"

Are there some things you dislike about how the show/series/etc. portray the character you have picked up? If so, what?
Of all characters, I have the least complaints about Sound.wave. All continuities at least seem to agree with how he should be structured, where his morals align, and how he would react to the many transgressions thereof. Granted, a lot of them I may not particularly care about (CBV), but I don't have any genuine issue with them.
What made you pick up this character?
I've been writing and creating content for Sound.wave since 2019 and while he isn't the forefront of my blog, I have the most experience in his characterization.
@sunoflegend , continued from here.
"THIS ISN'T ABOUT OPTICAL PRINCE OR WHATEVER his name is." She counters , twirling a strand of hair around her finger. Yeah , he may be the God of the Autobots or whatever , but she's talking about their team. The Cooler Autobots. "He still slays more than you do , though. That color scheme is so fifty years ago."

Attraction
Gears are turning. Data is being considered.
" Given her expensively manicured and maintained frame, she is attractive by definition. It is clear she wears her vanity in her shine. "

sage : what is your muse's legacy ?? what do they want to be remembered for & what might they actually be remembered for ??
his legacy is that of nigh all primes : war. life lost on the scale of star systems. pyrrhic victories on timelines that see the rise & fall of countless civilizations. he would like to be remembered for leaving things better than he found them, for wrangling systems into obeisance for the benefit of the masses, for protecting the innocent & bringing the cruel to justice. & by some he will be that ; there will be many across the galaxy who remember optimus prime of cybertron as a peacemaker, as one who cared for life & fought to preserve it on every scale, who wielded violence only in defense of those not in position to protect themselves, someone who was merciful & kind & who grieved all loss equally.
but by perhaps just as many optimus prime will be written into history as a harbinger of desolation, an omen that their world was to become a battlefield & their planet a resource, someone capable of great cruelty in the pursuit of "goodness" & "justice", someone often too merciful to the enemy & not mindful enough of his allies, a prime that arose to send his world into endless war, one who turned pacifists into soldiers & told empowering lies to bolster his control over the fate of the worlds he stepped foot on ; in his own words, " to the people of cybertron [he is] the face of war " .
neither view cancels the other out, though. most of all, he might simply be remembered as a war-time leader, a prime who ascended when his world was collapsing & didn't quite know how to keep all the pieces together, someone who sacrificed, for better & for worse, of his home, of his people, of himself.
aloe : how does your muse handle grief ??
by working. it was ingrained into him early on in the twilight of the war that he couldn't afford to sit still for long, that things were always in motion & he couldn't pause in his work lest the next shitstorm catch him unawares. he does grieve, does let that emotion work through his systems & affect him to a degree, but he keeps his hands busy, keeps his primary focus on whatever's necessary in the upcoming short-term ; there's very few times he allows himself the "luxury" of sitting with his grief in full, & those are usually only when there is quite literally nothing other of value or productivity he can contribute. how the always-in-the-background grief affects him differs case by case through surrounding circumstances. sometimes it makes him snippy (best case) or downright aggressive (worst case), sometimes it sends him into a tunnel vision of work which makes him seem spacey & distracted ; most of all it just makes him tired, weighs his servos down, makes every action feel like he's moving through mercury. & he allows every bit of it, lets his grief guide him as much as the matrix when it still sang to him. it's not entirely unfair to say grief handles optimus more than optimus handles grief.
