Sunright Tea Studio, 34563 Alvarado Niles Rd, Union City, CA 94587
Sunright Tea Studio manages to stand out because of the quality of their drinks and their convenient self-service ordering kiosks. You can also order your drinks online. The Union City location is small with no seating. There are two self-service ordering kiosks.
Choose your drink, level of sweetness, amount of ice, and add-ins. They have boba milk, cheese foam drinks, frosties, coffee, milk tea, fruit tea, brulee lattes, etc. The drinks are one size, 22 oz. They also have a half gallon option for some of the drinks. Twenty-two ounces sounds like a lot but I never have a problem finishing their drinks.
Honey blossom milk tea ($5.25 plus 65 cents for agar boba, 25% sweetness, less ice): I think this is a new drink; it wasn’t on the flatscreen menu at the shop but it was available from the self-service order kiosk. First, the drink doesn’t contain honey, the tea is called honey blossom because it is sweet and honey-like in flavor. The agar boba were firm, sweet & chewy. The milk tea was pleasant, milky, and sweet like honey but didn’t have a strong tea flavor. I ordered the wrong thing.
A human will call your number when your order is ready. The shop has bright yellow accents. The cup felt thicker and nicer than the cups from some other shops. I don’t think they sell any food but they do sell tumblers. There’s a rewards program as well but it doesn’t seem that easy to sign up for it.

Sunright Tea Studio, 1220 S Golden W Ave, Arcadia, CA 91007
This Sunright Tea Studio is located in the food court near 99 Ranch Market. It’s larger than the other locations that I’ve been to but very consistent – same menu, same look, same ordering system. There are two kiosks where you can place your order (they accept online orders as well) and pay. You’ll choose your drink, level of sweetness, amount of ice, and add-ins. They have boba milk, cheese foam drinks, frosties, coffee, milk tea, fruit tea, brulee lattes, etc. Some drinks are available hot but most are cold.
Coffee oolong milk tea ($5.25, less ice, 25% sugar): The oolong tea flavor was quite strong, much stronger than the shot of espresso. The milkiness and the sweetness level were just right. The drink was cold though it didn’t have much ice.
