            exhaustion  and  stress  weight  heavily  upon  the  paladin’s  stiff ,    broad  shoulders .     this  supply  caravan  should  have  departed  hours  ago  and  yet  here  it  sits ,    unmanned  and  not  even  a  quarter  filled  with  the  medical ,    food  and  weapon  supply  she  had  promised  the  auchenai  at  shattrath  city .     had  it  been  the  incompetence  of  her  own  camp    (   and  it  never  is ,    for  she  doesn’t  suffer  the  kind  of  fools  who  allow  this  to  happen   ) ,    she  could  have  loaded  it  herself  and  sent  it  off  with  a  small  patrol  of  her  knights .     but  no ,    this  grievous  error  comes  from  the  unorganized  lot  at  vol’jin’s  pride  and  as  such ,    the  gods - damned  supplies  haven’t  even  arrived  at  her  camp !     the  thin  line  between  vexation  and  boiling  anger  dissolved  long  ago ,    the  evidence  found  in  the  tense  backward  jut  of  her  ears  as  she  wears  a  dip  into  the  path  with  her  pacing .     she  has  to  direct  the  anxious  energy  somewhere ,    else  she  unfairly  aims  it  at  one  of  her  own  that  deserves  no  part  in  the  blame .

            more  time  passes  and  with  no  sign ,    no  word  at  all  from  the  other  camp ,    she  has  no  choice  but  to  take  this  into  her  own  hands .     light  help  every  soul  at  vol’jin’s  pride ,    for  her  wrath  will  not  be  forgiving .     she  snarls  as  she  rips  an  arcane - lit  lantern  from  a  post  and  makes  her  way  down  the  small  path  to  the  stables  where  redemption ,    ol’  reliable  red ,    awaits  her  and  on  her  way ,    she  snatches  the  nearest  champion  by  the  back  plate  of  their  armor  as  she  passes  by  and  drags  them  with  her .

          The rose’s stem, clipped of its thorns, scrapes lightly against her scalp to lie in the crook where her long ear joins her head, the agitated twitch the former gives in response ( amplified in the accompanying shake of her head ) testament more to Valeera’s frustration with the ordeal than any irritation the cool, barely-there weight imposes. The red nestled against her temple, prominent in the periphery of her sight, isn’t so different from her usual vision of her hood, but if she appreciates the shade she does not it’s connotations. Flowers are not her thing, and she can feel already the mocking stares it will inspire in the Keep, despises how it will soften the adult formidability she attempts to cloak herself in.  

          The moment Airlia steps back, Valeera brushes past her for the mirror, her mind made up even before she views in the reflection her own rebellious visage and the fragile petals that contradict it, plucked immediately from her head, “Not happening.”

lorna's thoughts and feelings TM on the greymane fam

But no, seriously, I don’t think she actually hates him. She was angry and resentful even before she thought her dad died because, hm, Genn was a shitty king who built a wall in his kingdom supposedly to keep them safe without need of the Alliance and etc but apparently fuck her family specifically as they are kept outside. With Darius being the leader of the rebels in the civil war, Genn was inevitably someone Lorna saw as an enemy, even if that wasn’t the case before (as Darius and Genn used to be friends, and her interactions with the younger Greymanes seem to suggest their families were at least somewhat close). She’s obviously (and with good reason) furious when she thinks her father is dead because of Genn, 

But after all that is left behind because Gilneas just gets one shitty problem after the other, and with Genn and Darius not being enemies anymore, she’s definitely more amenable to him. I think Lorna genuinely believes he regrets and tries to make up for his errors as a leader, and she respects that. Around Legion she does seem to be a lot more chill in regards to Genn, and she’s okay working with him/following his orders. When Tess talks about his anger and the fear he’s losing himself to vengeance, Lorna is the one to somewhat take his side, arguing all Gilneans are full of that rage, and that they’ve waited for vengeance long enough.

So yeah! I think her thoughts and feelings about Genn change a lot throughout time, but for now she respects him, even if she’s not particularly fond of him. Genn is definitely her least favorite Greymane.

Mia is the only one she never actually gets to interact with in canon, but I personally think Lorna would have liked her, for the most part. Mia is someone who’s shown to be caring and protective towards people, and someone who may not be a fighter but is still willing to face danger to help others is someone Lorna would respect immensely. Of course, by the time of the rebellion and civil war I feel like Lorna didn’t hold any of the Greymanes in high regard, and although it was much worse towards Genn, Mia being the queen would for sure be right after him. I think mostly she likes Mia.

I think what is shown of Lorna and Liam suggests they were at least friends? It’s the idea I always get of it at least, from the lack of formality (although Lorna doesn’t seem to be all that formal regardless) to just how those interactions mostly go. When she’s attacking Genn because she thinks her father is dead because of him, Liam is the one to hold her back, but what’s more telling about all of that scene in regards to their relationship I think is that when she understands it was her father’s choice and they keep her from going after him, Liam is the one holding her in his arms when she begins to cry. That Lorna accepts to be comforted by him, as well as their other interactions, which seem to be mostly casual, as well as her own reaction to his death and how deeply it seems to get to her, my personal take is that they were at least somewhat close, and Lorna cared about him a lot.

And I mean, it makes sense considering their parents were friends before so they have probably known each other forever, and while that doesn’t necessarily means they’d be friends, considering that they were it certainly makes sense they’d have been close. 

With Liam and Tess, I feel like the impact the civil war has is more that there is an inevitable distancing but it is not really personal and I don’t think she resents either of them for that, even when she’s still very angry. If they thought Genn was right, yeah, but neither of them seem to, so Lorna is okay with them. 

Tess is also someone I think of as generally being close to her. Even though they haven’t had many interactions, the ones they do have, like talking about Genn in Legion, do seem to suggest they are close too (I mean, Tess is talking about her fears in regards to her father then, you know?). They’ve worked and fought together too, and I feel Lorna would also trust Tess and be willing to talk about anything with her. She cares a lot for her, and I’d say Tess is one of her closest friends.

So she has her issues with the Greymanes and all but I think mostly her feelings about them tend to be positive. Genn, who she doesn’t really like a whole lot, is still someone she respects, she tends to like Mia, and both Tess and Liam are very very dear to her. Maybe she’d like them even better if the monarchy ended though.

There is a silence then, thoughtful in her lack of knowledge as to what to reply to that. Deeper than just that, perhaps; it is an uncertainty on how to approach him, so foreign and so familiar in a way Lorna scarcely knew what to do with.

She can be excused for that, or so she would think. He had been dead for years, in every way she had been aware of.

Lorna had seen it; and she had grieved, as had others in light of whose lost hers felt too small to be comparable. Of course she is glad to have Liam back ---- that would not ever be in question. He is here now, and she is glad of it, truly; but they had both been apart for considerable time, and enough had happened between death-that-wasn’t and return that she was left wondering if a friendship could yet be the same after that.

If it made her hesitant, it was not enough to make her less honest. Lorna Crowley had seldom been anything other than direct; and in the end answer comes, before silence stretches too long, before pondering matter in full. 

Spontaneous, as she tends to be, and sincere, even if not too tactful. Then again, if he expected delicate response Liam should know best than to be speaking to her.

“Perhaps.” But there are sins worse than others, and if sharpness of her dark brown eyes makes it clear something is left unsaid, Lorna does not linger on it. Some mistakes were worse than others, and some sins simply could not be atoned for --- not the way she saw it. “But I do not think it does much good to dwell on past mistakes endlessly. You do what you can to make it better, and you move forward --- and it may not always be enough but it is what can be done.”

Did Tiffin have a childhood sweetie

S   :   SWEETHEART.   did your muse have a childhood sweetheart?

Yes. Tiffin made friends everywhere with all sorts of people (even though she shouldn’t, according to her family), and she just ended up being really close to one of those friends, who was not a noble, just the son of farmers. As is usually the case with childhood infatuations it was all very innocent ofc but her family saw them hold hands once (1) and she wasn’t allowed to talk to him ever again because she was already promised to Varian and because her family is shit and they’d be horrified she let someone who is not a noble hold her hand regardless. 

Tiffin being how she is, she’d have tried to sneak out and meet him anyways because he was her friend and she liked him very much, but like I said, her family is shitty so they’d probably have warned his family not to let him near her again, and that was the end of it.

Not particularly! She likes it but she doesn’t love it, and I’d say she’s pretty selective. Anything that’s too sweet just isn’t for her. Dark chocolate is her favorite.
