I guess I gotta talk about this

I hate Cole. We can talk about Cassidy, but Cole is the least cowboy-sounding name I have ever heard. I’d just love to know what went on in that process. Like they must have pitched dozens of names, how did Cole of all things win out?

So you know. I’ll keep Cole as a HC on this blog, that it’s another alias he is using (like Jesse McCree was, I guess), and you’re welcome to call him Cole in first interactions, but I can’t bring myself to make it his actual name. Sorry if that’s one of your criteria for interacting, but I just... god, I’m still processing it. Fucking Cole.

(To note, I am not shitting on Cole as a name in general, just... in this context. For a cowboy-themed character who used to have a really badass name, a switch to Cole is like ordering a regular coke and being served pepsi zero that’s been sitting in the sun for a week: --- off-brand, lame and without the spark you were expecting.)

I haven’t fully decided if I’ll just be keeping Jesse as his first name (making it Jesse Cassidy) or if I’ll change that as well (and keep Jesse as his preferred alias, idk), but in case I do change it, I will be going with Flint (Cassidy). It keeps that fire/burning pun dynamic with Ashe’s name (from ash and coal to ash and flint (used to start fires)), but it just sounds a lot more fitting and cowboy-y to me. 

Slight edit: the Ashe I’ve developed most of my Jesse’s backstory with calls him Clyde a lot (with him calling her Bonnie in turn) - so you know. I’m not saying it might also be Clyde Cassidy, but. I’m eyeing it.

what the fuck is that name change? As for this blog, it’s either gonna be Jesse Cassidy, Flint Cassidy, or Clyde Cassidy, once I’ve had some more time to wrap my head around what I want to do with him.

Coffee: He has no real preference, but he’s come to like a dash of chocolate in it.

Tea: He’s not much of a tea drinker, but nowadays, when he does drink some, it’s usually the kind Ana used to make. He misses her.

Drink: Typically, it depends on who he’s with, he tends to match them. 

Alcoholic Beverage: Any kind of whisky, especially scotch.

Food: Pancakes!

Dessert: ... also pancakes? Ice cream.

Article of Clothing: Man loves his hat, what can I say?

Candy: He’s a snickers kind of guy.

Left or Right Handed: Right to write and shoot, but ambidextrous in most of the rest (opening bottles, pouring drinks, holding objects, etc.)

Sloppy or Neat Writing: Oh, definitely on the sloppy side.

Clean or Messy Home: Messy in his really personal spaces (read: bedroom), but neat enough to let people in at a moment’s notice everywhere else. Really clean kitchen.

Shower in the Morning or Night: Night, usually.

Tasks Done Early or Last Minute: Depends on the task. Some, he’ll get out of the way early, while others he’ll leave until there’s practically no time left.

Love Language: Quality Time / Acts of Service (and to receive you’ll always get him with Words of Affirmation, every time)

Believe in Love at First Sight: No but you can walk by again, but he believes in attraction at first sight.
