There's an interesting problem in the apartment bedroom. Apart from one lonely little lightbulb in the walk-in closet, there isn't any light source. So we're going to have to get lamps. Luckily, lamps are probably my favorite decorative-but-functional thing in home design, but floor lamps are either expensive or fugly. I'm really liking this and I guess I could get two of them (they're only $30 a piece, after all) but keeping in that style for the rest of the bedroom is going to be hard (clean and modern isn't really my general schtick when it comes to decorating). I tend towards rustic and comfortable. Halp?

Sunset Life - Chapter 1
I finished packing my bags and everything still seems very unreal. I was about to move to Hunington Beach and leave pretty much everything at my hometown. But I was happy, very happy! It was a new chapter of my life: collage.
- "Jess, the taxi is waiting outside, are you ready to go?" - said my mom
- "Yeah...I guess it's time"
We walked down the stairs. My dad and my younger sister were standing in the hall. When my sister saw me she started crying
- "Don't cry! I don't want to see you cry ok? I'll be back in 2 months with so many stories to tell you. I promise I'll buy you a gift!" - I said. I don't like goodbyes. I've never have. But I had to stay strong, I mean, I knew I was going to have a blast in Cali living with my best friend Mandy, but I was going to miss my town, my friends and especially my family.
- "You don't need too... I'm gonna miss you..." - my sister said while she was drying her tears
I kissed my parents and my sister and got into the taxi
- "Bye, I love you guys!" - I screamed to them
They waved me goodbye and I saw my mom starting to cry.
When I got to the airport I called Mandy to ask her where she was. She was in the bar, so I went there to meet her.
- "Hi!! I can't believe this day has finally come! I'm so excited, Jess!"
- "Me too! We're gonna have so much fun, I wonder how our appartment looks like!"
Last call for flight number 104 to Hunington Beach, California on gate 42.
- "Woah! We better get going, Mandy"
We ran as fast as we could. When we got there, there was only 3 people left on the line
- "Damn that was close" - Mandy said very tired from our little challenge
We got into the plane and sitted at our place. I started reading my book to get distracted. Once the plane was flying I turned my iPod on, and listened to my favorite songs.
The trip wasn't bad at all, it actually went faster then I expected
