“I-is this some kinda joke? Come on, cut it out!” Sheena managed to get a weird laugh out, ‘I don’t get it... What the hell is this?’  At best, all she could do was avoid eye contact, it took all her willpower not to hide behind her hands. ‘This is so stupid!’ She chanced a glance over and-- oh no, he’s really close! 

And with no more words left, Sheena’s face suddenly turned beet red, hiding her eyes behind her bangs, she wasn’t one for attention.

Word prompt: Melody

Quite the common occurrence, really, those disappointingly short moments of pause, a break at the end of daily travels. They were always simple, the life that they should have had, were they not robbed of it, for the tainted blood they carried in their veins. It was a shame, really, but those moments, though scarce, were special. Very much so. There were some wonderful experiences that they would only have then. 

Melodies. All kinds, a beautiful variety -- calming -- by the campfire, under the night sky, Martel would sing. Most times, he simply wanted to stop and watch, take in the moment. 

The softest tone, and a smile fixed at her pink lips. Numerous times was this sight seen, was it cherished, and he knew that it would stick uniquely in his mind forever. As long as he lived. 

All of the smiles, after all, each and every one that would grace any observing with its brilliance, it made a smile rise to his own.  And in the mornings, he would beaming with one just as bright -- winsome. 

“Come on, Martel ...  everyone! Let’s go!”

Sometimes he could be heard humming those same melodies she sang to him all of those years ago.
