“Reaper! Look out!” Jack pushed the other out of the way, there had been a gunmen following them and had taken aim at the back of Reaper.

It was almost cute, the way Jack tended to be unsure Reaper could take care of himself. From small reminders to eat to--

well, this, a shove out of harm’s way (when really he would have been more shielding not-Jack, because what’s one more bullet wound anyway); he stumbled, regained his balance; eyes narrowed behind the mask as he searched and spotted the shooter.

“What the- one second,” he growled, shotguns drawn from the folds of his coat. “I’m guessing you don’t need him alive?”

     Saren was aware of what the man was attempting to do, but it was rare she was on the receiving end of such attention. Should she say ‘ thank you ’ or try to reciprocate? Saren was at loss since this was so unexpected.

     “ I... appreciate what you’re trying to do, sir, but... I am not interested. ”

Arthur did not appreciate being followed, especially by a stranger. There was just something suspicious about it and he wasn’t about to find out what the other wanted by letting him get the upper hand. Usually if a stranger needed help, they asked outright instead of trying to trail him.

He probably could have done things a bit nicer. Possibly should have been a little less rough with capturing and hogtying the man, but it was too late for that as he slung the body over his shoulder and started heading for his horse. “Let’s take a little ride, shall we?”

"Get up McCree" Gabriel kicks her. "Valentine's not far now hope you've been praying for your forgiveness. I said get up!" Gabriel was sick of this criminal ingrate and he wanted his money, he damn well earned it after trecking this ass around for days.

Was the kick really necessary? She grunted and got up to her feet, not all too thrilled of the current change of events. Just when she thought she could let her guard down and maybe get some peace and quiet, this asshat decided to come knocking. Of all the folks to catch her…

“Alright alright, I hear ya!” She protested and let her voice slip from the normally deep tone, glaring with those soft, brown eyes. “I ain’t a damn mule!”

“Who says I dream about you, Jackie?”

The point is, of course, he does.  He can’t not - even though what counts as Gabriel’s sleep is barely worth the name, no more than dozing off in the middle of the day, when the sun is at its peak and he finds his mind wandering. It’s not exactly dreaming either, but it’s close enough to count.

And he’s been with this strange-ass duo who wear those faces long enough for it to get under his skin and in his mind. Kind of hard to forget a smile when it faces you every day.

Still, Gabriel peers at Jack in the most casual way he can manage; unbothered, leaning against the fence. Open, for all intents and purposes, the words dripping with amusement.

“Trust me, I don’t think you want to know my dreams at all.”
