what does harry do when sunshine has a nightmare and wakes up shaking and crying? 🥺 :(
allow me to set the scene . they're snuggled up in her room, he's shirtless wrapped up in her pink bedsheets and he's hugging her little stuffed bunny ... but sunshine has migrated to the other end of the bed and her eyebrows are kinda furrowed :( she's having a bad dream and it's like one of those really bad ones where theres a lump in her throat and tears behind her sleeping eyes and all of a sudden she's waking up with a gasp :( she's sniffling and trying to catch her breath and her hands are all shaky and she's looking aroundthe room frantically trying to gather her bearings :( and harry wakes up immediately as soon as he hears her gasp like his eys are squinted and all puffy and he barely knows what's going on ,, but he can hear his sunshine taking these shaky shuddery breaths and he can hearher sniffling and with his sleepy croaky voice he's like ..."sunshine? wha's wrong baby?" and she can't even say anything she's just whimpering through her tears and patting around the sheets trying to find him so that she can climb into his arms and he's immediately coaxing her into his chest like "Hey hey baby:( s'okay:(" and she's just hiding her face in his neck trying to calm down and he's petting her hair and kissing her forehead, and he rests his cheek on the top of her head and presses her ear to his heart and just holds her :( he's sleepy and groggy and still kind of disoriented but it's almost like natural instinct to pull her into his arms and comfort her :( like he doesn'teven have to think about it he automatically has a hand tracing circles on her back while he shushes her and whispers "s'okay sunshine, you're okay:(" eventually she falls asleep w her cheeks still tear stained and her lips pouted against his chest :( he doesn't fall asleep until her breathing has steadied and he's positive all the bad dreams are gone:(
