Sunstroke Project haben eine Videobotschaft bezüglich der Corona-Pandemie produziert. Dafür haben sie ihren ESC Song „Hey Mamma“ umgeschrieben. Moldovan Music Monday - Chișinău Summerfest 2017

This weekend we had a special treat.  Rebecca and I, with a few Peace Corps Volunteer colleagues, attended what is probably the biggest music festival in Moldova.  Sponsored and presented by Chișinău Beer, this festival let us see many of the biggest popular music performers from Moldova.

We saw Nelly Ciobanu, Zdob și Zdub, Sunstroke Project, Dan Balan, Alternosfera, Carla’s Dreams, and many others.  The video in this post has some of our favorite moments.  Watch carefully in the middle and you’ll see we got to take a selfie with probably the most famous Moldovan in the world right now, The Epic Sax Guy,  Sergey Stepanov from Sunstroke Project.

Moldovan music has been extremely important to our time in Moldova and we are very happy to have had this experience during our final months as volunteers.
