Fandom Ask Game

Dang y'all giving me too much power picking the fandom. XD I am so bad deciding someone lead me by the haaaaaanddddd jk.

Multiple fandoms come to mind. I'll answer a few. People can prod me if they want another or specific answer. Rn I'm answering character favorites change for a smaller scope; I can answer ship, too!

Fullmetal Alchemist: Favorite character change from Ed to Roy. I was Ed's age when I picked up the first volume. I am now Roy's age at the end of the series. It's fascinating Arakawa channeled ages and their mindsets so well that this is part of why the shift happened. I adore both characters, of course. That said, Ed's thrilling go-get-'em idealism which vibed with me as a teenager I now look at like "Ohhhhh dear" sometimes. XD Roy's issues and complexities dig into me more now that I've experienced more life.

Gravity Falls: Dipper to Ford to Fiddleford. McGucket was my least favorite character as per season 1. How they expanded McGucket into his nuanced self is insane. I love him. I love him so much. With the release of Journal 3, I had a new and definite favorite.

DreamWorks Dragons: Hiccup to Snotlout? Hiccup was my first favorite. Snotlout and Hiccup were neck-and-neck as of my first viewing of RoB and DoB in 2014. I got my friggin hair cut to be Hiccup-ish in 2014. I screencapped Hiccup way too much during the RTTE release years. But over time, an oversaturation of Hiccupness (as well as shifts similar to FMA... I relate more to Stoick's side than Hiccup's now) has led me to vigorously defend my boy Snottykins. I am so hard a Snotlout stan and you can't stop me. Not even sure if Hiccup's in my top five favorite HTTYD chars anymore. Doesn't mean I dislike him rotflh - just means that, if you want to get me passionate standing on top of my chair, you're going to have to mention a different character than the protagonist of a fandom I've somehow been involved in for ten years now. It's been ten years???
