Hello again, I have a follow-up question. Where did Dahlia get poison as a 14-year-old to put in the bottle necklace, and why couldn’t she just do that again instead of stealing from the lab? I don’t remember the game having an explanation, but what do you think?

i did not mean to leave this rotting in my inbox. tumblr didn’t tell me you messaged me so i am so sorry.

as far as 14-y/o dahlia getting the poison i’d like to think valerie has a stake in it. i know valerie’s job wasn’t to kill terry, but she was a police officer and she had means to get to the evidence lockers at work.

like i said, i don’t think valerie was like “here dahlia use this poison and kill ur pedophile boyfriend” but i feel like she probably left it out somewhere and dahlia being a 14 year old was like “hell yeah free murder”

my other part of my brain that likes to think that dahlia is a natural botanist (she is. she’s a published author and she’s my oc so i can say that) probably knew belladonna or other flowers are poisonous and went from there, but it took a long time to make. the feenie murder seemed a lot less rehearsed and an immediate need from the terry murder. (feenie was annoying and wouldn’t give his stuff back, but he didn’t put dahlia in immediate danger which is why she let it go on for almost a whole year - while terry was premeditated and a need to be rid of in dahlias opinion. he put her life in danger, and while the poison took a long time, so did her time in fear.)

i don’t have a set which one of these is right because at the end of the day in my head it doesn’t really.... matter? i’m more of a motives person than an operations person.

Wait, was it ever established that Dahlia dated Doug Swallow solely for the purpose of obtaining poison? Do we know how long their relationship lasted? I don’t remember and now I’m wondering if it’s possible that she actually did like him at first.

i mean in my honest dahlia expert opinion dahlias a lesbian so i don’t think she would actively date doug. the game leads us to believe she dated him only for poison; but the game also leads us to ignore canon abuse for the sake of dahlia being evil and boosting diego’s manpain so we don’t know for sure.

i think probably she only dated him to gain access to poison but also it doesn’t seem like she wanted to kill him (she didn’t seem like she wanted to kill anyone besides terry and diego but i can go into that more later) and only did it as a means to save her own skin so.

i think she dated him only for poison but she also didn’t like. hate him or anything. i feel like she probably appreciated him as a person and in my mind they probably got along well, but i don’t think anything romantic was there.
