Wasn’t gonna post about this, but ran into Shador haters again… and I just need to say something.

Shador - Shakes & El Matador - ever since it became really popular among Supa Strikas fans, has faced a huge amount of hate. Not only towards the ship itself, but sadly also towards the people creating content for it. And haters are haters - you know the drill: manipulation, painting shippers as the worst people, making up “facts”, blowing things out of proportion, twisting every idea or mistake by fans against them… A classic case of internet hate.

We know the new show focuses mainly on Shakes’s past. He’s 16 there - a teenager, not an adult. The season shows how he joined the team while the rest of the characters were already there. So what did the haters do with this? You can guess. (Irony intended.)

They took the fact that Shakes is underage in this storyline and twisted it into a fake “fact” that El Matador is around 30… just to turn the ship into… a ped****lia. Yes. Exactly. You’re not reading this wrong. Both I and many other fans started getting flooded with messages about this, while public anti accounts started posting as if this was absolute truth, painting both the ship and us shippers as the worst possible people.

Of course, this isn’t the only reason I’ve been less active in the fandom recently… but I know for many others, this was the final straw. Does hatred for a ship really lead people to such horrifying steps? Sadly, yes. Is it because most of them have a different ships with Shakes? Of course. Are most of them kids? Obviously. But among them are also adults who fuel this spiral of hate much more deliberately - mainly on platforms like Tumblr and Pinterest. And now I’ve noticed many brand-new fans immediately believe this “fact.”

And it frustrates me so much, because this ship means far more to me than it might look. It shaped my growth as a person and even helped me fulfill my dreams. Though that’s more personal… But it’s also simply unacceptable to me- as an adult, and as a teacher. It’s just awful. Even if I can deal with internet hate, those words still linger at the back of my mind… like they would for anyone.

I remember the creators never cared to give exact ages of the characters - I guess they didn’t expect this kind of toxicity among their fans. They left it open so everyone could imagine them in a way that feels right.

Honestly… I have nothing more to say about this. I don’t know where kids - and even adults - get the idea that they have the right to invent such lies and spread them online. Against people who just want to enjoy the fandom in peace, and love what they love. So let me end with this: don’t take fandom “facts” about characters as if they were absolute truth. It’s just a show. You can do whatever you want with the characters as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else.

To wrap things up a bit more lightly so fans can smile… we all know this is happening because you’re fully aware of the amazing chemistry and potential they have. Hands off Shador, bastards. ❤️‍🔥

Oh and for those wondering why I’m absolutely against drawing a ship like Skarra & Shakes - for those who think I have a problem with other ships… you’ve just discovered the main reason. It’s not about the characters or the ships themselves. It never has been.

Prof leaned in as his pupils stared long and hard to comprehend what was happening, glasses pushed high as the Orion vs Supa Strikas game continued to play on the screen. His posture screamed disbelief. The data streaming across the monitor was spelling out something neither of them had ever seen before.

Gremlin stood behind him, completely frozen, coffee pot still tipped and pouring. The dark liquid spilling over her gloved fingers and onto the floor, but she didn’t flinch. Not from the coffee. Not from the heat. But the absolute what-the-physics-is-this?! moment unfolding in front of them. Her brain was cycling through logic loops that couldn’t process what her eyes were seeing.

Neither spoke. Neither blinked. Neither moved. Their eyes just kept scanning the data—waiting for it to blink back to sense. It didn’t.

You ever see a moment in canon and go, “wait… my oc would totally be there,” and your brain won’t let it go?? That was me during that scene where Orion FC pulled out their weird formations. Prof’s face was like 😳 and I just knew my awkward little techie would be right beside him—buffering, glitching, and completely forgetting the coffee pot is still tilted and pouring. Brain: still buffering. RAM: full. Core memory: corrupted by unknown information. 💀☕

Dooma Headcanons

⚽😈 Just dropping a little collection of Dooma headcanons for anyone else fascinated by one of the most terrifying men in the Super League. Hope these give you a laugh! 🐆✨

He is extremely self-aware of his own sociopathy. Unlike many villains, he knows exactly what he is and simply chooses to weaponize it.

He actually enjoys the moment right before a tackle, when he can see the opponent realize they’re about to get hit.

He intentionally plays clean for long stretches of a match so referees stop watching him closely.

His red cards are so infamous that referees sometimes warn him before kickoff.

Opposing teams try to provoke him intentionally, hoping he’ll lose control and get ejected.

Dooma takes medication but adjusts the dosage himself, believing he functions best on the edge of control.

He dislikes talking about the psychiatric clinic and will shut down conversations instantly if someone mentions it.

Dooma has a particular rivalry with Uber, because Uber refuses to fear him, even after Dooma pushing him down the stairs.

Dooma believes fear is a legitimate tactical tool in football.

He has a personal rule: never injure someone permanently……unless they deserve it.

When he watches game footage, he replays moments where opponents panic—it’s his favorite part of studying matches.

Dooma grew up playing football on hard dirt fields, which made his tackles naturally rougher and more aggressive.

His nickname among teammates is “The Leopard” because of his explosive bursts of speed and stalking playstyle.

Dooma drinks absurd amounts of tea. Not energy drinks. Not coffee. Just tea. Teammates have learned that if he’s holding a mug, he’s in a good mood.

He names his cleats. His current pair are called “Mercy” and “Consequences.”

He enjoys nature documentaries, especially ones about predators hunting.

If he’s annoyed during training, he’ll start dribbling the ball extremely slowly while staring directly at the person who irritated him.

Dooma whistles classical music when stretching. Nobody has ever heard him play anything else.

His favorite snack is beef jerky, which he carries in his gym bag at all times.

Despite his reputation, he loves ridiculously sweet desserts. One time he ate half a chocolate cake after a win and refused to share.

He once scared a referee simply by calmly asking how his family was doing before kickoff.

Dooma is weirdly good at gardening and grows plants at home.

He sometimes appears behind teammates without anyone noticing him walking up.

Once caught two players arguing and solved it by making them run tackling drills against each other until they got tired of fighting.

Some defenders claim Dooma whispers things during tackles that make them panic.

A popular meme claims Invincible United didn’t hire a captain—they hired a supervillain who happens to play football.

Rumor says referees sometimes review his disciplinary record before games just to mentally prepare.

There’s a rumor he once made an opposing striker substitute himself out just by staring at him during warmups.

League gossip says Dooma was banned not just for dirty play but because multiple teams filed complaints about “psychological intimidation.”

Referees allegedly draw lots before Invincible United games to decide who has to officiate Dooma.

He drinks protein shakes that taste so terrible his teammates believe it’s some kind of punishment ritual.

He meal-preps like a man preparing for an apocalypse. Teammates once opened his fridge and found exactly 28 identical containers of chicken and rice.

His team suspects Dooma doesn’t actually sleep. Like he just sits completely motionless during long bus rides.

Finally finished my Supa Strikas Charms!

Okay but can we talk about the absolute JOURNEY these Super Strikas charms put me through 😭🔥

I decided that since there is literally zero Super Strikas merch where I live (the disrespect???), I would simply… make my own. Like any sane, normal person with access to shrink film paper and an overworked printer.

Cue: trial and error. And error. And more error. 🫠

The first batch? Humbling.

The sizing? Wrong.

The colors? Questionable.

The printer? Betrayed me.

The shrink ratio math? Personally attacked me.

But after tweaking the scale, adjusting for color darkening, fighting with my printer like it owed me money, and sacrificing several test sheets to the crafting gods… I finally got a decent bunch of charms!!! 🥹✨

Watching them curl up in the oven never stops being magical though. Like they look WRONG and then suddenly—boom—tiny, glossy, sturdy little Strikas staring back at me. The glow-up is real. 🔥⚽

And honestly? There’s something so satisfying about holding fandom merch that you made with your own two hands. If the official merch won’t come to me, I will simply become the merch department. 💅🏽

Anyway I’m proud of these little guys. They survived printer drama, shrink math, and my perfectionism. And now they get to live their best charm life. 💖
