anyone complaining about how Kendrick's show was boring don't know how to find symbolism, and you can't change my mind.
sure, it wasn't as flashy as past shows, or have as many moving visual pieces. but that doesn't make it boring!
sure, it was only him and dancers, but it wasn't boring! the celebration of black culture, the flag of black dancers to show america was built by black people, Uncle Sam, the SZA performance, literally every piece was intentional and purposeful and symbolism. if you thought it was boring you were probably watching it only on surface level.
like no, he didn't have floating platforms like Rih or a house thing like Dr Dre or weird robot shit like The Weekend, but he's the first artist i can think of to have turned the halftime show into a performance art piece with a real message. it was pure art. if you thought it was boring, please watch it again and think about the meaning
