Ppl can watch and read anything they want at the end of the day. It’s just the fact that you really can’t control how people will interpret/interact with said thing. That’s when they start to make it their whole personality and by virtue, everyone else’s problem simply because they lack basic media literacy. I mean, If they had that, they wouldn’t be online, constantly posting about how bad some fictional siblings wanted each other “carnally” when all the characters did was like, fucking hug each other 😭…. Basic shit like that! “They have SO much chemistry 🤭-“ and the two family members in question just grew up together under the same roof because they share a mom and dad or whatever tf ☠️.

I don’t think anyone is a bad person for watching a movie that had incest, or a rape scene in it at all, it’s just a movie, right? It’s also real life, though, you can literally always tell when certain abuses depicted in a media, were simply thrown in for the sake of shock value/ pleasure bullshit, passed off as something grand and important enough for depiction… its horrible. Like no… you didn’t have to make that rape scene 10 MINUTES long for the audience to “feel her pain”/ feel bad for her. You know WHY you wrote that, stop kidding yourself! The shit is not high art 🫩. Whenever I see ppl on here brag about incest, no matter if it’s fictional or not, (the implication that they look at their little siblings in THAT way), it’s just…. And some of them even use the excuse of being abused themselves to shut people up about being uncomfortable about others talking positively about it (it’s STILL horrible no matter the fact, and I feel sorry that that happened to you but you need help because that will never be healthy for YOU to heal. Hanging around certain online spaces that encourage stuff like this will do you more harm than good).

Some of these ppl just view incest as some sort of fun, silly, lighthearted meme/ joke thing, too? Completely forgetting that it’s… real… most victims are likely to be harmed by their own parents and siblings before anyone else… How is it funny, man…? The jokes I’ve seen over the years kinda pushed it into the realm of “it’s not SO bad lol” And the wincest/ siscon/ brocon shit that’s been normalized over the years, and again, especially in fandom spaces. And then these ppl are always horrible to actual victims about it.

I just feel as though people do not take it as serious as it truly is. Not sure if a lot of these people who pass incest off as kink, have siblings or not but it makes me wonder how they treat their families in rl ☠️….. they like to use the excuse of being able to separate their kinks from reality but you like the idea of fucking someone related to you, idk lol. Make that make sense to me.
