Also remember: large predatory dinosaurs (and any perdator for that matter) don’t “take on” each other unless under extreme stress or dire circumstances. Contrary to what movies would have us believe, carnivores don’t risk severe injury or death all willy nilly; the vast majority of confrontations, if they happened at all, would end up with one of the two animals leaving or a minor injury that deterrs any further aggression.
