Not the biggest fan of boss fights in video games, myself. I usually find that they deviate from normal gameplay in a way that’s less fun, and overstay their welcome by about a factor of three. Even worse when they show up with infinite waves of normal enemies to flank you while you’re tryin’a grind them down.
All this to say, I got to the Ilya Pasternak/CFA-44 Nosferatu fight in Ace Combat 6. I can see where Crimson 1 in Project Wingman was inspired from, with the massive continuous missile spamming, though Strigon 1 isn’t quite so bad. The drones and ability to break lock are bothersome, but at least he doesn't have 99,999 HP.
