My other studio class this semester was a Sculpture class. We had pretty free reign on this project– starting with 9"x9" slabs of wax, create a relief sculpture to be cast in bronze. I went with a somewhat traditional format of a wall plaque to get the hang of sculpting wax. This picture was taken a couple months ago. My piece has since gone through gating, sprueing, investment, burnout, patching, and is, as of this morning, waiting to actually be cast! By Wednesday I should have my piece as an actual bronze sculpture in need of cleaning, sanding, polishing! For anyone curious about what goes into creating a bronze sculpture hmu! I love talking about it because it’s really an incredible experience!

Super Radical - Savage Streets

This look book for street clothing line SUPER RADICAL created by tylergrosso is some of his best work yet. Not only did the 90’s graphics as well as the V/H/S recording bring out what the clothes symbolize (nostalgic skateboarding street fashion) the graphics on the clothing were rad (no pun intended). With the famous Promethazine jackets coming back in stock but this time in white, shirts featuring a cartoon character shooting it’s self in the head with a thought bubble that reads “super radical”, and another shirt that has a big X placed on the front that reads s-uperradical on top of it reminds me of the old X games graphics. There are are more items appearing in the line suh as camo bucket hats and more tees, all falling into the theme "Flirting with Death".One thing I have always admired about Tyler Grosso’s work is that he makes it for the youth, and his personality is written all over it.Cant wait for the line to drop Lil Burnout!!!!
