Hugs and kisses to @negativesd09 for this art commission of Steve Rogers and Remy LeBeau based on the Avengers Vs X-Men: Versus Issue #2 when Cap had to face off against Gambit. Thanks again for my request of showing off Steve’s golden hair like in the last panel of the comic when he’s talking to Tony requesting someone grab his spare uniform from his locker. 🥰
I know it’s an older run and typically I’m not a fan of reading/watching good guys against good guys, but seeing my two favorite guys from their respective series throwing down until only one remains standing was both exciting and hard for me, so I appreciate the more friendly “after the fight” take here, as if there was some mutual respect for how things went down.
(Very Old Spoiler Alert: Cap wins. I had no doubt he would, but you got to hand it to Gambit when he used his kinetic energy to explode the chainmail of Cap’s uniform. Alas it wasn’t enough to stop the Sentinel of Liberty and resulted in the Ragin’ Cajun getting his lights knocked out with a fist to the face - ouch. 🤕 )
