Sam and Leah had it all. The best of friends, thick as thieves, all the cliches about how close two people could be were written for them and only them. They were inseparable, constantly laughing and talking, spending all their time together because they didn’t need anything else. Their friendship was enough.

But then something in Sam started to change. He became quicker to react. He was angrier, didn’t want to talk as much. He seemed sick. What was Leah do to? She wanted to help him, but she didn’t know how. All she wanted was to help him, but he wouldn’t tell her what was wrong. To be honest, he didn’t know himself. She couldn’t tell how she knew, but something was about to change. 

When Sam disappears, Leah knows she has to find him. No matter what’s happened to them the past few months, the Sam she knew has to be in there somewhere. She can find him. She will find him. He won’t leave. He can’t. But will the Sam she finds be the same man she knew? Or has he changed into something unrecognizable?

The both of you are very quiet people, so it’s a slow-burn relationship, but once you finally get around to talking with each other, everything flows well. She loves listening to the things you’re passionate about like zoology and astrology (even if she just finds it a bit of fun herself). And because of where she lives, the two of you have no shortage of snow-filled fun to get into. Skiing, snow boarding, building snowmen, you name it and Carmen will do it with you!
