Riley, Dean’s daughter has a secret that she hides from her dad. It leads to some other unfortunate events.
“Riley, let’s go! Sam and I are leaving! If your rear is not in the impala in twenty seconds, I will make you eat Sam’s food for two weeks!” He smiled to himself.
“Ok, coming!” She ran down the hall toward the garage. “Really, Dad? Uncle Sammy’s food? You realize I eat like him anyway, right?” Riley walked past her dad toward Baby.
He huffed. “Fine! I’ll make you eat grease then!”
“Dad, no need. I got to the car before you anyway.” She smiled.
“How did I get the sassiest kid?” He stated sarcastically.
“Because she is a mini-Dean, that’s how.” Sam walked over to the car, and the three Winchesters entered the vehicle in their designated seats.
“Why do I have to go again?” Riley asked as they got closer to their destination.
“Because we haven’t had a Winchester outing in months, and you’d be grounded if you didn’t come, smart stuff.” Dean said wryly. He entered the parking lot for miniature golf and an arcade.
“Awww! I hate golf! And you’re so good. Why did we come here?!” Riley whined, only half-caring how she sounded.
We’ll have fun. Just go with it, and maybe your dad will go by the store and get you some pie.” Sam enticed his niece.
“Really, Daddy?” She looked at him through the rearview mirror, hopeful.
“Thanks for volunteering me, Sasquatch.” Dean rolled his eyes, hating that she needed to be bribed.
“Ok, but best behavior, got it ?”
“Dad, I hate arcades. You know-”
Dean interrupted his daughter. “Riley, just get out. I’m done with the attitude.”
She looked to Sam for backup, and he gave her a small smile. The trio played a few rounds of mini golf and then entered the arcade.
“No, Daddy. Please. I’ll just wait for you and Sammy here. I promise I won’t go anywhere.” She tried to appease her overly protective father.
“What’s up with the rude 'tude tonight? I wanted one night with just us and your sass is really dampening the mood, Rye. Get inside and shush.” He barked at her, having enough of her balking.
Riley held back tears and swallowed. She followed her dad and uncle, but she didn’t play any games that the older Winchesters wanted to play. As they adventured around the arcade, she covered her ears and breathed heavy. She closed her eyes and squeezed them shut before shrieking and running out the exit.
“Dean!”
