Jimmy Bo Horne Dance Across The Floor: This 1978 bboy classic and a gold record written and produced by Wayne Casey from KC and The Sunshine Band. Jimmy Bo Horne was a Regional Florida star and this was a Zulu crowd pleaser back in the day I always loved this jam. I slowed it down for Sadat X The Great Dot X many moons ago and it has been used by a gang of people. Back to Jimmy Bo Horne, he had a bunch of dance floor bangers in late 70s including this , the classic Soank (It became a dance as well), You got me Hot ( Which sounds a lot@like this joint)Gimme, Gimne and Let me Be Your Lover amongst other bangers. He recorded for various Florida based labels like TK, Sunshine and others. Funny. I know his records but I don’t looks like and I only have singles by him and have never seen a LP I dont think. One Way Shine On Me: This 1983 jam by One Way most famously known for Cutie Pie was a Larry Levan Paradise Garage banger.Lead by Al Hudson the Detroit band also featured Alicia Meyers of I Wanna Thank You fame on vocals for a few years. Also known as Al Hudson and The Partners for a bit they released the Happy Feet album which featured the disco boogie classic hit You Can Do it which was written and sung by Meyers. briefly called Al Hudson and One Way by 81 they opted for One Way as the name of the band releasing they’re most famous tune the proto G Funk classic Cutie Pie. Black Moon I Gotcha Open remix. The first members of the Boot Camp Click to make it to wax Black Moon were as Brooklyn as it gets, @Buckshot the Bedi eyed MC , Five Foot and Evil D back by the Beat Miners production made great records. Boot Camp click for a moment was one of the strongest east coast crews with a self contained sound provided by Mr Walt and his brother @EvilD 2 of my favorite digging partners. This is actually the remix with a great Barry White sample of Playing a Game. Black Moon rocked my birthday this year in fact. This same sample was used by Mega Banton for Sound Bwoy Killing. Boot Camp click always had a dancehall element to there music and for me symbolize he golden age of NYC street rap which includes BIG, Nas and The WU.
