I really love your sugardaddy bottom Bruce! Him trying to show his affection by buying expensive things is adorable and also a little sad considering he is not familiar with casual display of affection. I want to hear more of your headcanon and stories. Thank you! (English is not my first language, so l’m sorry for my poor English)
Firstly: Thank you so so much for your kind message, it really made my day :>
Secondly: I’m so sorry it took so long to get all of this compiled in a somewhat nice way and I’m sorry if tumblr mobile is fucking with the spacing and makes it ugly :/
It’s true, it’s a little sad that Bruce can’t express his feelings that well, but I think he’s learning by doing and Clark knows what he’s trying to say either way Your English is perfect by the way! It’s not my first language either so this actually made me super happy!! Solidarity
So! Another look in the adventures of Bruce, Sugardaddy in training
When Bruce comes to Metropolis, he usually books a hotel room and then stays at Clark’s place to eat his oranges and complain about the water pressure. However, he also owns an apartment in Metropolis, a fact few people know about.
„A penthouse, actually. Floor length windows, wooden floors, big balcony. Shower and bathtub.“ Bruce tells him over breakfast some day. „A lot of natural light.“
„So perfect for you, then, huh?“ Carl slurps his coffee innocently. “Do you plan on coming to Metropolis more often in the future or is it an investment?”
Bruce sucks a drop of orange juice off the back of his hand. “I was mostly thinking of keeping it in case I find myself in Metropolis for a longer period of time. I can’t really rent it out, though, since I was thinking of storing an extra suit there. Just in case. So I suppose it’ll be empty most of the time.” There’s a pause where he concentrates very hard on cutting the skin of his fourth orange. “I was thinking, maybe, if it wouldn’t be too much trouble, you could take a look at it some time. Maybe store some clothes in there if you need extra room in your closet. Or some books maybe. Just so the neighbours don’t get suspicious if it’s empty all the time.”
“Ah,” Clark says mildly. „That’s smart. Where is it?“
In walking distance from the Planet, as it turns out. What an odd coincidence. At least it’s not a house.
This second idea (also a familiar one) starts with a little interlude on how Bruce used his detective skills to find out Clark’s favourite colour. “Detective skills” here being code for “snooping through his desk to find office supplies in matching colours” and asking him “is red your favourite colour?”
Clark, probably a little sleepy, snuggled into a heap of sun-warm Egyptian cotton sheets, goes “hmmm?” followed by “my favourite colour is blue.”
And that’s coupled with a cheeky little smile. Bruce probably has a certain look on his face, so Clark gives in: “red is my second favourite, yeah.”
Detective work all done, Bruce relaxes into the sheets and huffs, gently kicking at Clark’s legs.
(Later, at night, he’ll fluff up his Clark-scented pillow, wrap his arms around it, plant his face right into it and grumble ‘Bruce Wayne eyes blue’ to himself)
Now as for the actual thing: It’s a car.
“An old Benz, actually. The seats are leather and the colour’s new. I couldn’t- there were none that matched the colour I wanted so- Anyways, I made sure it’s all running smoothly and it’s a tad more eco friendly than it usually would be. So. You could’ve gotten it back home or over Craigsnet, I suppose. I thought you’d want something that doesn’t look too obvious, but Benz is a good car and I’m sure you’d be satisfied with how it’s running.”
There’s a pause where they both look at the car, shimmering in the bright lights of the garage.
Clark smiles gently and shakes his head. “No, not really. My apartment happens to be pretty close to the Planet, actually.”
While Bruce and his public persona have somewhat different tastes in fashion (Brucie Wayne likes to end his nights with his tie and collar undone and one diamond cuff missing), there’s no doubt that the man comes into touch with high fashion on the regular. So Clark shouldn’t be all that surprised when Bruce presents him with clothes at some point. „Presents“ here being code for „sneaking items into his wardrobe without comment“. But they’re not the kind to go with the Rolex (Clark keeps it in his bedside table). Instead, it’s a bunch of turtlenecks in various colours („Cashmere, actually“) and soft cotton button downs.
At first, Clark doesn’t quite know what to do about that so he doesn’t bring it up. But then Bruce is staying over and is wearing his black turtleneck, standing in Clark’s kitchen in the milky light of an early winter morning. So Clark puts on his green turtleneck and the Lewis he didn’t buy for himself and joins him, bare feet on wooden floors.
Bruce makes it his business to be hard to read, but Clark can still see it. The warmth when he squeezes Clark’s shoulder is more comforting and the way his eyes are sparkling is more valuable than cashmere or a Rolex could ever be. Who would’ve thought Bruce Wayne is the type of guy who likes to match outfits.
at the end three little songs that made me think of them lately (I really like sweet, chill songs for them because they remind me of slow, honey-sweet mornings spent cuddling in bed, and that’s all Bruce needs tbh. I’ve also been feeling a little romantic and fuzzy)
Noire - He’s my baby (”Don’t go changing, I will believe in you/Don’t know if you’d stay, it’s all good if you do”)
Sunni Colón - Baby I don’t mind („I wanna show you how you made me feel/I wanna get closer to you, psychedelic thrill“)
Raveena - Honey („We are water and roses/I need you like air/Spoonful of sugar/My cup is fuller when you’re here“)
It took me ages to compile this and I’m really sorry about that! Also, I hope it’s somewhat what you were envisioning, since it’s not really all that SugarDaddy-esque(?) Thank you again for your sweet words and have a great day
