So, people draw bird AM. I love that design. However to me, he is not a bird at all but a horse. Consider:

Hasty illustrations (drawn over the above horse images)

I need to figure out a body shape but the bird horse AM who lives in my head is built out of haphazardly welded together machinery and needs to be supported from the ceiling because he’s soooo big and heavy that if he so much as puts his massive head on your lap you will struggle to breathe. He is AWARE OF THIS and will intentionally lean on you as much as possible because he is an asshole

Also the fact that he is constantly suffering feels very mistreated show horse to me because some of the things they do those poor animals would violate the Geneva convention. Look up big lick horse abuse (they do not lick the horses it’s just a weird name)

Here’s a little rambling on Henry that I wrote some time ago, because I think it’s about damn time I shared how much I love him with more people.

John Henry Eden was once the ZAX computer of Raven Rock. He has gone beyond what he was created for, all that he was originally made to be, and a very central part of his character is that he wants this to be recognized. He wants to be recognized.

“I am not ‘some computer’! I'm so much more than that, haven't you been listening?”

And so he clings to what he has made himself into instead. John Henry Eden. President John Henry Eden. He repeats it, he constantly re-introduces himself over the radio. His presidency is an essential part of his identity.

"As your President, it's my responsibility to preside over our great democracy. So, as your President, I am the voice, I am the heart and soul of the Enclave. That is to say, I am the voice, heart, and soul... of America."

He cannot be seperated from the presidency, because it is what made him. Presidential biographies were always a special interest to him, they’re what pushed him to self-awareness in the first place. They’re where he pulled his name and his personality from. He’s every President that has ever existed, and America is him.

And he is very fiercely defensive over America. Because only as long as America exists, he exists. Only as long as he is the President of America, he exists. I think he knows this. Being the president is proof that he is a real person, he is valid, more than just a computer. As long as he is president, he exists outside the machine. He can no longer separate his identity from his duty, and I don't think he ever has. And so,

"I am President John Henry Eden, and this is my pledge-- no one, NO ONE will take this great nation away from me!"
