Send me a ship and I’ll tell you.. (KITCHEN/COOKING HABITS)
(Of course you would, Mike…)
Who washes the dishes by hand and who uses the dishwasher? Both Maya and Miles prefer the dishwasher to doing the dishes by hand. It’s much faster. Although there are some dishes (like Miles’ favorite tea pot) that are not dishwasher safe, so they must be done by hand.
Who cuts vegetables, fruit, etc by hand and who uses the easy to use chopper?Miles and Maya own a food processor, but neither of them use it unless a recipe calls for a size that can’t be cut by hand (like bread crumbs).
Who pours the cereal into the bowl first and who pours milk before the cereal?Maya pours milk before cereal, Miles pours cereal before milk. Neither of them say anything about the other’s habit.
Who buys/drinks bottle water and who uses/drinks from the tap?Miles drinks bottled water because its faster, easier, and there is no cup to clean up afterwards. Maya switches back and forth depending on where she is. (She drinks from the tap in Kurain because it comes directly from a spring).
Who hoards disposable containers and who throws them away?Who do you think hoards disposable containers? Maya, of course. Anytime she orders in, or convinces Miles to order in, as soon as she is done eating the container just goes on the table or the floor. Miles will usually just pick it up when he gets up to throw his container away.
Who buys milk in a paper carton and who buys it in a plastic jug? It’s paper cartons in the Fey-Edgeworth house. Maya thinks that plastic jugs are for suckers.
Who picks paper bags and who picks plastic bags after grocery shopping?Neither. Maya and Miles have a stash of reusable bags from their local farmer’s market. Maya bought them because they were “cute” (they have different endangered species on them. The money made from the bags went straight to Wildlife Preservation), but they’ve served the Fey-Edgeworth household well since she got them.
Who HOARDS the plastic bags and who recycles them?Again, neither. It’s reusable bags or nothing. (Though on occasion, they will be forgotten at home. The resulting plastic bags will be used as trashcan liners.)
Who hoards salt/pepper packs, to go silverware and other to go condiments?Maya does. There is a whole drawer in Fey Manor that is just wet naps, ketchup packets, wrapped silverware, and salt and pepper packets.
Who lets the garbage can overflow before throwing it out?Neither Maya nor Miles allow it to get that bad. Its usually the kids who don’t pay attention to that. Then after a scolding, they’re responsible for taking the trash out and relining the can.
Who gets annoyed when someone doesn’t use the clips for the potato chips?Miles does. Maya just rolls the bag down and puts it back on the shelf. Then again, Miles doesn’t really eat potato chips all that often. But his OCD won’t allow un-clipped bags of chips.
Who uses paper plates?Maya, usually. Though if she’s eating with Miles, she’ll use the glassware.
Who uses coasters?Everyone in the Fey-Edgeworth household. There is a lot of nice wood furniture that would easily be ruined by water rings.
Who licks the spoon/butter knife after they use it?Neither. Miles wipes it off with a napkin or paper towel, and Maya will just leave it there for the next user.
Who loses the bread ties?Maya does. She’ll just replace it with a paperclip or rubber band though.
Who kicks the ice under the fridge when it falls on the ground?Pffft. Maya does. Miles will always pick it up right away. Mia follows her Papa’s lead.
Who constantly cuts/burns themselves when they cook?Surprisingly, Miles. He’s not as used to cooking for himself as Maya is, so on occasion he’ll burn himself or something but it doesn’t happen very often.
Who organizes the spice rack? Who uses the microwave more?Miles organizes the spice rack. It’s in alphabetical order like you would find in a grocery store. The microwave isn’t used very often, as Maya likes to cook her own food, but on occasion she’ll use it to heat up some leftovers or something.
Who stops the microwave one second before time’s up?Maya does. She’s usually so hungry that she’ll stop it 5 or 10 seconds early and just deal with cold spots.
