Rune's opinion on Nicanor didn't really... go anywhere for the majority of the game. During the fourth trial when Nicanor told off both Koyomi and Imogen for trying to sacrifice themselves, Rune was honestly!! kind of frustrated with Nicanor because both of them were already hurt and feeling terrible, and he didn't think that Nicanor needed to push it any further but!!

Of course Rune didn't voice that. From that one incident, Nicanor had lingered in mild dislike for a while, but I think he went back to neutral after Koyomi died and Nicanor... apologized, I think?? Either way, it didn't last for very long.

And we should note that!! Rune never really believed that Nicanor killed Akira. He honestly thought Gorou's accusations were unfounded and that it was just a mistake on Nicanor's part, but Rune had no way to back up Nicanor's supposed innocence or support Gorou's claims, so he... didn't really say anything and just voted for himself!!

(Rune regrets not speaking up because there were certain things about some of the evidence that he thought were strange but now is not the time or place for that.)

As for post-Nicanor's death, Rune just thought that his demise was... needlessly cruel, and he wished he could have helped more in finding his killer. And he hoped that Momoko would be able to keep going afterwards because she seemed so nice, and that solidified Rune's thoughts that maybe??? Nicanor wasn't that bad of a guy, but of course, he could never confirm that.

He hopes that!! after Nicanor is revived that he and Momoko will be happy, though!! I'm not sure if Rune would ever actually try to talk to him, especially since they never really knew each other before and Rune is very easily intimidated, but at the very least, he wishes Nicanor well in his new life!!

The nicanerd… man, their first official meeting wasn’t really the best for Nicanor, since Lee arrived injured from getting beaten by shadow Imogen, and this was during the time Monobear already showed up. So… Uh… Well, Lee recognized Nic though as the guy who was by the pool, so that’s a thing.

And then, during deadblog oh wow. During Chapter 5 when Nicanor pointed out that nobody would be so stupid as to use their talents to murder just like Lee did… Lee was THIS close to flipping off on him. THIS CLOSE.

Then erm… Deadblog and after THAT happened. Nicanor was the first person she met with zero memories, and she basically spilled to him everything about her memory problems (dude you should’ve used this chance to tell her it wasn’t healthy yo!!!), but I dunno with her???? She sees that her explanation to him about it as a way of getting close??? I mean she sees him more than an acquaintance, so a friend!!
