Autores como Bradshaw (2007,2010), Canavilhas (2006), Edo (2009), Esquivel (2014) o Salaverría (1999 y 2005) sostienen que la pirámide invertida tradicional restringe las posibilidades en la pantalla y debe ser reemplazada, por ejemplo, por una acumulación de información (Larrondo, 2009: 209), que en la práctica ha de darse por reenvío a otras notas.
