The incident
Hey guys, I've had an idea ever since I was in high school that I've wanted some opinions on. You see, from back in high school and up to today, I've been a fan of The Lion Guard. Which is one of the only things Disney made that I actually enjoy, and I can't enjoy much of Disney (mainly because most of what it's made is just not my thing, and how conservative and lgbtq against the company has proven itself to be) so that's saying something. However, one thing that stuck out to me is the fact that the series had several factions of different animal species as its main villains, especially in season 2 and season 3. Not only did they do a good job of picking animals that are fitting as villains, but it's made me wonder, what would it be like to build your own faction of a villain force out of animal villains in fiction? This idea has stuck with me all my life, and even gave me an idea for a potential indie animated series if I could ever find someone willing to work with me. Now, I actually decided to try out this idea for myself, and build a villainous faction made up of animal villains from various works of fiction. I've revised my idea several times over the years, but I think I built a really good faction overall. That's what I want to mention here. Now, before I made this faction, I put a couple ground rules in place. First of all, this faction can't include Kaiju or Daikaiju, largely because most Kaiju will eventually grow to a size that violates rule number 2. There's a limit in terms of the size of the animals you can include in this faction, with the limit being the largest parameters for the Spinosaurus. (20 feet tall, 60 feet long and 23 tons in weight) I added this size limit, number 1 because I thought adding Kaiju or Daikaiju would be way too op, and 2, I couldn't help but think having Kaiju or absurdly gigantic creatures would be a bit too much if you had a team made up of normal sized animals as well. You also cannot include any insects or arachnids due to them technically not being animals. Fish because I imagine fully aquatic creatures not working at all with terrestrial animals. Anthropomorphic animals due them being way more physically enhanced than normal animals. Any alien animals because of how some have op abilities. And while you can include multiple characters or individuals in one entry due to the need for this faction to have a good amount of members in order to have some good numbers like the villain factions in The Lion Guard, so long as you don't pick animals that have hundreds to thousands of them in the film or TV show, although there's a limit to how many entries you can have in this faction, with that limit being 8. Also, you can include genetically modified or created animals and fictional animals, so long as they fit the ground rules I mentioned. You'll see examples of these rules in my personally created faction. I personally think it's a good idea to make a faction that can fight in the air, on the water, on the ground, and in rough terrain with good numbers, much like the villain faction in season 2 of The Lion Guard. I also think it's important to take into account things like the need for leadership, the need for stealth, and the need for some serious muscle, that way this faction is as good as it can be. With that in mind, here's my custom faction and why I included everyone I did.
Janja From The Lion Guard: Personally, I think Janja could be a good leader for a faction like this, especially if he's working with individuals he can get along with, something that I think was certainly an issue in the second season of The Lion Guard. In this situation though, I think he could get along with everyone in this faction quite well, especially since he would essentially be making new friends. He also introduces some numbers with his clan, made up primarily of Chungu, Cheezi, Nne and Tano.
Indominus Rex From Jurassic World: This I think is an obvious entry. “Darcy” I think is just an obvious individual to add for several reasons. One, the Indominus brings some serious muscle with her size. Two, she has a lot of useful abilities, namely her camouflage and body temperature regulation, which could be useful with being stealthy, and potentially with spying on the faction's enemies. Three, she has a lot of weaponry to go along with her size, and four, she's very fast for her size.
Jinx And The Dark Dragons From Ever After High: This might seem like an odd entry, but it's actually a very clever one. You see, dragons obviously have their fire breath, which gives them some serious range, but I think that and their flight ability would make mass arson plans more efficient and easier to accomplish. Just imagine everyone on the ground setting fire to the grass in the shape of an x, telling Jinx and the other dark dragons where to set on fire. They can also fly, and have some good numbers. And while I haven't seen any official size for Ever After High's Dragons, I would have to say they're similar to an Allosaurus in size, making their size useful.
The American Alligators From Crawl: Not only are Alligators big and strong, but this group of Alligators have some good numbers to go along with their physical prowess. Plus, Crocodilians are amazingly amphibious, and would add some more numbers for the land, and would allow for some good numbers in the water.
The Black Mamba From Venom: The Black Mamba From this 1981 film I think would be very useful. As while Black Mambas are known to be big for snakes, snakes are still rather small, and built to fit in small spaces. This means this Black Mamba would make an excellent spy for this faction. And because of how venomous Black Mambas are, if there's a job that requires someone to be envenomated, this is the obvious individual to call on.
Makucha And His Friends From The Lion Guard: Being Leopards, Makucha and his friends can climb very well, and can fight on a lot of difficult terrain, making them very useful in this circumstance. They also add some more numbers to the individuals on the ground.
Supergator From His Solo Film: Supergators first depiction in his solo film is essentially a form of the prehistoric, long legged running crocs such as Quinkana and Kaprosuchus. This makes him a fast, all terrain hunter, and someone who would also be good on rough terrain. Also, Supergator is fairly big, meaning his size would make him a good backup for Makucha and his friends. And finally, Supergator is an effective swimmer, and would be a good backup for the American Alligators from Crawl.
Giganotosaurus From Jurassic World: While many thought the Giga featured in Jurassic World Dominion hasn't used well as a villain, this isn't about execution, but about how well they would work with a role of this faction. And "Zeb", would be a good choice for some additional muscle, especially given how large and strong he is. Also, while we're assuming that everyone would be able to communicate effectively with each other, given that the Indominus Rex has Giganotosaurus DNA in her genetic makeup, and she was able to communicate with Velociraptors while having their DNA in her genetic makeup, it's a safe assumption that these two would be able to communicate very effectively.
Let me know if you've attempted to make a faction like this, and let me know the animal villains you included.
Shorthand Review - Supergator (2007)
Nice to see a gator-led Creature Feature where the monster's design is something slightly more involved than just "Hey, look, it's an alligator except bigger", but I mean this is still... Just awful.
Final rating:★½: - Boring/disappointing. Avoid where possible.

Will Dinocroc and Supergator would be a cameo appearance in this webcomic?
