“ h e l l o ? “ chase calls, hugging his shoulder tightly. the cold has begun seeping through his clothes and onto his skin, turning it a shade lighter with the slightest tinge of blue. “can anybody hear me?!” he doesn’t remember how he got to this strange place, or even if there’s anyone around to ask for help from. all he knows is that it’s summer in new zealand and wherever he’s ended up is in the middle of a pretty harsh winter.
